Three Points: The Rule of Four, the tightening rotation and Pac-12 officials

Three Points from N.C. State's 88-79 win over Stanford on Tuesday:

1) Scott Wood found his shot

It was lost for a couple of games, home wins over Cleveland State and Norfolk State, but Scott Wood found his 3-point shot against the Cardinal. Wood made five 3-pointers, all in the first half, and scored a season-best 17 points.

Wood was coming off of an 0-5 game against Cleveland State and 2-5 effort against Norfolk with a total of eight points in the two games.

Pack's Vandenberg sidelined with shoulder injury

N.C. State forward Jordan Vandenberg has missed the past two games with a shoulder injury, Wolfpack coach Mark Gottfried said Friday.

Vandenberg, a 7-foot junior, is day-to-day, Gottfried said, but the coach hopes the forward will be able to play against Stanford on Sunday. Vandenberg has averaged 2.4 points and 3.6 rebounds in five games with one start.

Tudor: Pack fans warm to big Aussie

Pack 7-foot recruit eager for ACC play

N.C. State’s newest basketball recruit says he has never played a game in the United States but he already knows about ACC basketball.

Jordan Vandenberg is a native of Australia, grew up in Melbourne and his only experience playing in the U.S. is open gyms at the University of Nevada and at Boise State.

But the 7-foot, 235-pound center knows about college basketball.
