South Johnston High School football coach Joe Salas, right, has stepped down from his head coaching position in the wake of an investigation by the NCHSAA, Johnston County Schools said in a press release this afternoon.
Shane Dular, the Trojans' offensive coordinator and in his eighth year at the school, has been named head coach.

South Johnston High has been sanctioned and faces a possible fine for violation of N.C. High School Athletic Association football practice rules and Coach Joe Salas has been suspended from his head football coaching duties, according to Johnston County Schools.
