"Sinbad: It's Just Family" features a family that seems...normal

There were rumors awhile ago that comedian Sinbad was dead.

Nope.

Just like his network pal Toni Braxton (see above), he just went bankrupt.

Since then, he's been working his way back and revamping his life.

He remarried his wife, and after losing his house, moved back in with her and his grown children.

That's the starting point of "Sinbad: It's Just Family" (We TV, 10 tonight), a cute little venture that plays more like sitcom than a reality show.

Rivers keeps the one-liners coming in "Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?"

God bless Joan Rivers. When other 77 year olds are coasting, satisfied with a life well lived, or at least well-endured, she keeps working and working hard. Folks throw roles at Betty White,  but Joan is out there hustling, and creating her own jobs.

Her latest is "Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?" (WEtv, 9 tonight) and, as if having Joan's name in the title twice wasn't hint enough, it's clear that this is a showcase for the comic; her beloved daughter is just there to play straight woman. It isn't the best thing Joan's done, but if you're a fan of her tart one-liners, you'll leave the hour fulfilled.

The premise is this: Joan, longing to be closer to Melissa and her grandson Cooper, leaves New York and moves in with her daughter in Malibu.

"You're Wearing That?!?" is necessary, but not nimble

There just can't be too many makeover shows. You know it's true: most of us have no idea how to dress. Some of us are criminally deficient when it comes to style.

Like the women in the photo. I truly believe jail time is in order. She's one of the mothers featured in the new mother-daughter makeover show "You're Wearing That?!? (WE tv, 10 tonight). She has a nice figure, sure, but she's 54. And she's raising a daughter. Her complaint about her daughter's clothes? "She looks cheap."

Thankfully, host and stylist Luciene Salomone comes to the rescue. The format isn't radical; Salomone comes in to the home, meets the mother and daughter, and asks to see two of the outfits they'd wear for certain occasions. The mother gets to comment on the daughter and vice versa. That's how the shopping goes too; each gets to shop for the other, using the tips Salomone has shared.

What to Watch on Wednesday: "Top Chef Masters" finale

Paul McCartney: 'Good Evening, New York City' (8pm, UNC-TV) - McCartney's 2009 concert at Citi Field in Flushing, NY, 44 years after the Beatles first played at Flushing's Shea Stadium. Good show, but there's fundraising involved...

In Plain Sight (10pm, USA) - Mary is frustrated when a witness with Asperger's refuses to testify against her friend. Also, Marshall and Stan try to stop the deportation of a key witness, and Mary's sister Brandi comes clean about her investment plan with Scott. Remember that handful of episodes this season without Mary's sister or her mother? Yeah, those were good times.

Bridal Bootcamp (10pm, VH1) - A new series in which brides-to-be shape up for their upcoming weddings. In tonight's first episode, two of the brides fight, which is shocking, I know. Also, two brides go to the hospital. I hope it's the same two brides.

How'd You Get So Rich (10pm, TV Land) - The season two finale has host Joan Rivers checking in on five multimillionaires, including a man who invented mold-detection kits for the home.

Top Chef: Masters (10pm, Bravo) - In the season finale, the remaining three chefs fight it out, and really, it's anyone's game. Mark Samuelsson, Susur Lee, and Rick Moonen (at right) are all pretty amazing.

Work of Art: Next Great Artist (11pm, Bravo) - I don't like how Bravo premieres new series at 11pm, but that's why God invented dvrs. Is this the first reality competition show for artists? It sounds pretty good...

"Celebrity Apprentice" rocks it down to two finalists

Trump whittled the five remaining Apprentice contestants to four right off the bat tonight, and by the end of the show we were down to two. Who's still in it, out of Bret Michaels, Sharon Osbourne, Curtis Stone, Holly Robinson Peete, and Maria the wrestler (whose full name I still don't know, even after watching this show all season)? Keep reading to find out...

Joan Rivers returns to E! and red carpet critiques

She's back and they've given her a badge!

Joan Rivers comes back to E! for red carpet coverage, but his time she'll be the host of the channels "Fashion Police," starting with the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 18.

The gig will continue through awards season.

Naturally, she got her Missy -- daughter Melissa Rivers -- involved too. Melissa will be producing the show.

"I am delighted to be back on E! and to have the opportunity to say what I think about the fashions on the red carpet," said Rivers in a statement. "I know with Melissa at the helm, I can relax and say what I really want."

If you watched Joan when she was live on the red carpet with stars for E! and then later the TV Guide Channel, you'll remember she was infamous for her gaffes, like sometimes not recognizing stars. This is actually a good spot for her; Joan being dishy is good Joan.

For Golden Globes, Khloé Kardashian Odom, Giuliana Rancic and Jay Manuel will be joining Rivers.

David Carradine tells a celebrity ghost story

The spooky season is upon us, and the BIO Channel's contribution comes in the form of "Celebrity Ghost Stories" tonight at 10 (Channel 117).

What's notable is that one of the celebrities featured may now be a ghost himself: David Carradine.

The interview was recorded a few months before Carradine's naked body was discovered hanging in his hotel-room closet in Bangkok on June 4.

Kathy Griffin to roast Joan Rivers on Comedy Central

Comedy Central has announced that Kathy Griffin will be the Roastmaster in the network's roast of comedian Joan Rivers.

Griffin said she will be "roasting Joan with more gentleness and tenderness than her latest chemical peel."

Rivers has appeared on Griffin's Bravo series "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" and Griffin returned the favor earlier this year, appearing on the "Celebrity Apprentice" finale to help Joan, who won the competition.

The roast will air August 9 on Comedy Central.
