What to Watch on Tuesday: New 'Work It' sitcom is the night's biggest loser

The Biggest Loser (8pm, NBC) - This show runs pretty much non-stop throughout the year now. The previous season just ended a few weeks ago and now we have a fresh new batch of couples at the ranch. The twist this season is that the couples will be split up and compete against each other.

Work It (8:30pm, ABC) - Heaven help us. This awful new sitcom is about two men who dress as women to get jobs. Yes, like "Bosom Buddies." Except without Tom Hanks.

In this series, Jamie travels around America and talks to folks with different food traditions. Tonight he meets Mexican-Americans with a strong food culture and learns about Homeboy Industries, a youth program that uses food to break the cycle of crime (and probably also tries to get them to eat healthy food).

In tonight's opener, Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal (right) are in LA to shoot spots for a doggie day care and a hotel for cats. (Photo taken at Red House Furniture in High Point, NC). Unfortunately, we haven't seen it (ahem, IFC). There's more info on the show here, including the fact that the 10:30 repeat will be interactive.

Flashpoint (8pm, CBS) - The team members turn on one another during a brutal requalification exam conducted by a military psychologist. Meanwhile, Ed is shot on the way to the hospital to attend the birth of his child.

Flea Man (8pm, National Geographic Channel) - In the series premiere, host Jimmy Kaplow helps a family from Long Beach raise money for their daughter's tuition by showing them how to sell at a local flea market some antiques they inherited. He also butts heads with an estate-sale addict over the value of vintage costume jewelry. A second episode follows at 9.

Whale Wars (9pm, Animal Planet) - The Sea Shepherds try to locate the factory vessel, but they are soon followed by two harpoon ships.

Younger Next Year: The New Science of Aging (10pm, UNC-TV) - Columbia University medical professor Henry S. Lodge, author of the "Younger Than Next Year" books, offers advice on living a longer and healthier life. Let me guess: eat right, exercise, get plenty of sleep?

Outrageous Food (10pm, Food) - This show is the counterpart to the previous show, with instruction on how to be sicker and die sooner. In this episode, Tom Pizzica (right) visits Paddy Long's in Chicago, home of the Bacon Bomb -- five pounds of sausage, pork, and beef, wrapped in a weave of bacon. Tom also samples a 7-pound burrito at San Felipe's Cantina in Tempe, Arizona, and a 2-foot pizza topped with ghost chiles at Bernie-O's Pizza in Michigan.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Guests tonight are US Rep. Jane Harman, actor Jane Lynch, comedian Janeane Garafolo, journalist Joshua Green, and Hollywood blogger Sharon Waxman.

What to Watch on Friday: 'Whale Wars' back for Season 4

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Coach Taylor worries he's losing control of his Lions, and Vince's arrogance (thanks, Dad!) creates tension with his teammates. Also, Tami suspects that a student is being neglected at home, and Becky enters a pageant.

Body of Proof (10pm, ABC) - Christina Hendricks (left) of 'Mad Men' plays identical twins in tonight's episode. You can write your own punchline to that if you like. Hendricks plays the identical twin of a beautiful corpse who piques the interest of Ethan (Geoffrey Arend, also left and Hendricks' husband in real life. I'm serious.).

Tonight, she helps spruce up an army wife who hasn't seen her husband in months. Here's our review.

What to Watch on Tuesday: A food (and sports?) revolution

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (8pm, ABC) - Chef Jamie Oliver brings his Food Revolution to Los Angeles for Season 2, and things get off to a rocky start when the LA Unified School District refuses to give him access to the schools. We loved Season 1's efforts in Huntington, West Virginia, even if they weren't a complete success.

Braxton Family Values (9pm, WeTV) - R&B star Toni Braxton's new reality series follows her and her sisters as they pursue careers in entertainment. Read our review.

This special looks at the experience of a small high school in northwest Arkansas that is striving to join the national elite, and also at the rising rates of injuries and even death among the athletes. Then stay tuned for ...

Frontline: Money and March Madness (10pm, UNC-TV) - This is a report the rest of the country was talking about a few weeks ago when it debuted nationally. Frontline reporters examine the multibillion dollar business of the NCAA and college sports, in which everyone makes money except the players themselves.

The Good Wife (10pm, CBS) - The results are in! Did Peter win the state's attorney race? Also, the firm tangles with a South American dictator when it represents a small drilling contractor in a dispute against a major oil company.

Parenthood (10pm, NBC) - Amber quits her job and heads for trouble. Also, Joel helps Crosby try to win Jasmine back, and Sarah works on her stage play with guidance from Gilliam.

Sinbad: It's Just Family (10pm, WeTV) - Another new reality series. In this one, comedian Sinbad moves back in with his wife, whom he recently remarried. The show follows Sinbad as he attempts to reconnect with his family and revive his career. Our review.

Who Do You Think You Are (8pm, NBC) - Susan Sarandon investigates her family tree and learns something interesting about her enigmatic grandmother.

Glee (9pm, Fox) - If you missed the last five minutes of "Glee's" Madonna episode on Tuesday because "American Idol" ran late (again), it's rerunning tonight.

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (9pm, ABC) - In the series finale, Jamie returns to Huntington to see that most people have reverted back to unhealthy eating habits, so he does what anyone else would do. He calls Rascal Flatts

Bang For Your Buck (9:30pm, HGTV) - Designer Vern Yip evaluates kitchens in Raleigh and Cary.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - If you don't know Jack, tune in tonight for Bill Maher's interview with the real Jack Kevorkian. Other guests include Richard Clarke and Susan Eisenhower

Party Down (10pm, Starz) - The second season premieres with Henry as the team leader at the catering company. Jane Lynch has departed (for "Glee") but Megan Mullally ("Will & Grace") joins the cast.

What to Watch on Friday: NBC goes family friendly

Secrets of the Mountain (8pm, NBC) - In this made-for-TV movie, a woman (Paige Turco) decides to sell a mountain cabin she inherited from her uncle (Barry Bostwick) and takes her kids there on a weekend trip to finalize the deal. The family ends up uncovering a mystery someone doesn't want them to know about, and things get dangerous. Sounds like a live-action version of a Scooby Doo cartoon. But it's family friendly TV so I'm not knocking it.

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (9pm, ABC) - Jamie's still fighting the good fight in Huntington, West Virginia, but is anyone paying attention? Tonight, to gain much-needed funding, he must rely on the testimony of his biggest critic in all this, Alice the Lunch Lady. There's more information about Jamie's mission (plus lots of great looking recipes) at his website.

What Not To Wear Awards (9pm, TLC) - Stacy and Clinton recall the most memorable moments in "What Not To Wear" history, and then a couple get a chance to change each other's wardrobe.

What to Watch on Friday: Jamie Oliver vs. the dastardly DJ

Ghost Whisperer (8pm, CBS) - Melinda is haunted by a ghost who is dressed like a clown. Write your own joke here.

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (9pm, ABC) - Poor Jamie. He's already getting plenty of gruff from Alice, the "combative" lunch lady at Huntington Elementary School, he shouldn't also have to battle what has to be one of the jerkiest local radio DJs in America. But he does. Jamie is on a mission to win the hearts and minds (and bellies) of Huntington, West Virginia, and he knows he needs DJ Rod Willis on his side. Tonight, Jamie has Rod meet some of the teens from Huntington High School who joined him on last week's show, and we'll see how glib Rod is about Jamie's mission when he comes face to face with them. Also, Jamie makes a bet with the DJ that he can teach 1,000 people to cook in one week, and then enlists students at Marshall University to help him out. Last week's episode with the Huntington High School kids repeats at 8pm.

Medium (9pm, CBS) - The conclusion to last week's chilling episode about a young woman being pursued by a bizarre serial killer. Allison dreams about the young woman, who also has dreams about what is about to happen.

Miami Medical (10pm, CBS) - Personally, not loving CBS's new medical drama. A little gory for me. Plus, Andre Braugher essentially left the show in the first five minutes of the first episode. I like Jeremy Northam, but probably not enough to stick with this. If you're into it, tonight's episode involves a shooting at an outdoor restaurant.
