Three Points: The Rule of Four, the tightening rotation and Pac-12 officials

Three Points from N.C. State's 88-79 win over Stanford on Tuesday:

1) Scott Wood found his shot

It was lost for a couple of games, home wins over Cleveland State and Norfolk State, but Scott Wood found his 3-point shot against the Cardinal. Wood made five 3-pointers, all in the first half, and scored a season-best 17 points.

Wood was coming off of an 0-5 game against Cleveland State and 2-5 effort against Norfolk with a total of eight points in the two games.

Three points: Georgia Tech 82, N.C. State 71

1) It's not how you start, it's how you … uh, wait a sec …

N.C. State has been slow out of the gate for about a month and especially last night in an 82-71 loss to Georgia Tech.

State was able to get away with it in the previous six games, all wins, usually with a strong finish to the first half or a quick start to the second half.
