Ten Panther Creek seniors in five different sports will sign their letters-of-intent this afternoon, easily the largest number in the school's short five-year history. The Catamounts had just one fall signee (Joe Morrison, wrestling — Appalachian State).

Panther Creek senior safety/wide receiver Isaiah Johnson, a key player for the undefeated Catamounts, picked up an offer from the Naval Academy this week.

Johnson has six touchdowns this year (five receiving, one interception return). Should he attend Navy, or any other FBS Division I school, he would be the first player in school history to do so that was "on scholarship" (note: Navy, Army and Air Force do not offer athletic scholarships).

Johnson has 253 yards receiving, good for third on his team. He was a second team all-conference selection last year on defense.

Rising senior Isaiah Johnson is now reporting two scholarship offers to play football at the next level. The Catamounts safety/wide receiver has offers from Wingate and Liberty so far.

Last season Johnson had 24 tackles, including 6.5 for loss, plus four sacks and four interceptions (one returned for touchdown) en route to second-team all-conference defensive selection.

On offense, he had 12 receptions for 272 yards and two scores, plus nine carries for 40 yards. He also returned punts, returning 15 for 122 yards.
