Rocky Mount job fair is for military veterans

Military veterans and military spouses who are looking for jobs will have an opportunity to meet with companies that are hiring on Tuesday at a Hiring Our Heroes job fair in Rocky Mount.

More than 30 employers are expected to attend. In addition, participants looking for work can get one-on-one lessons resume writing and interviewing at on-site workshop.

Job fair for wounded warriors Wednesday in Jacksonville

Wounded, ill or injured veterans in need of work as well as active duty service members who are transitioning to civilian life will be able to meet with representatives of companies that are hiring at a Career Opportunity Day Wednesday at the Jacksonville USO, 9 Tallman St. in Jacksonville.

Military job fair planned for Camp Lejeune

Camp Lejeune will be the site of a job fair exclusively for the spouses of active duty, guard, reserves and retired veterans on Thursday, Aug. 9.

The "Hiring Our Heroes" event is sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Capital One.

Participating companies range from America's biggest employers to dozens of small companies from across the state with jobs available for military spouses of all levels of experience.

The fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Marston Pavilion, Building 730, Seth Williams Drive, Camp Lejeune.

Interested job seekers should register for free at hoh.greatjob.net. Walk-in job seekers are allowed.
