Boys tennis playoffs down to final week
Submitted by jmikeblake on 05/11/2011 - 09:50The NCHSAA boys dual-team tennis playoffs continue with the third round on Tuesday. The third round, regional finals and state championship will all be held next week.
The regional finals are scheduled for Thursday, with state championships taking place at school sites on Saturday. See the match-ups here.

Here are the results from Friday's first and second round of the 4-A Mideast individual boys tennis regional. The top four doubles and singles players will be seeded for next weekend's state competition.

The NCHSAA boys dual-team tennis playoffs begin Tuesday, and the brackets were unveiled today. The winners advance to next Tuesday's second round. The regionals for the individual boys tennis championships begin Friday at area venues.

On the Recruiting Front: Triangle tennis players

Here's a list of all the area players who have made their college choices, with their current state rankings in parentheses.
East Chapel Hill has a remarkable three college-bound players all ranked among the state's top 15 players. Two-time Tri-Nine Conference champion Roman Cacha of Athens Drive is heading to Army.
