Broughton names fall coaches

Jim Frey (volleyball), Laura Davidson (girls tennis), Steve Smith (girls golf) and Nick Wheeler (boys soccer) are joining the Caps.
East-West boys soccer rosters announced

Former WF-R standout taken in MLS draft
Submitted by jmikeblake on 01/13/2011 - 15:57Former Wake Forest-Rolesville and N.C. State defender Tyler Lassiter has been taken with the 30th overall pick in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by the New York Bulls.
Lassister was named all-state his senior year for the Cougars in 2005. He was also a second-team All-ACC player this season for the Wolfpack. During his four-year career with N.C. State, Lassiter started each of the 73 matches he played in. This past season, Lassiter led the Pack in points (18) and assists (6), while tying for the team lead in goals (6).

Athens Drive's Cooper Vandermaas-Peeler was named to the USA's U-18 men's soccer team and will compete this week in Tel Aviv, Israel.
All-State boys soccer teams
