The story starts off describing the final seconds of overtime, where Myers Park's Diego Suarez netted a bicycle kick at the death -- but did not count because time had expired. Now that videos of the game have started to hit YouTube, it's more clear than ever that the right call was made.

Each N.C. High School Athletic Association boys soccer bracket is down to the regional semifinals, which will be played Saturday. Winners will meet either Tuesday or Wednesday for the chance to play in next weekend's state championships.
Below are the 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A East brackets. In cases where teams have the same seed from different conferences, we've placed the host team on top.

It's the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association boys soccer playoffs, meaning each classification is down to just 16 teams total -- 8 in the East brackets.

The 2011 N.C. High School Athletic Association boys soccer playoffs start next week, with the first round being played Tuesday and the second round on Thursday.
Several Triangle-area teams are hosting first-round playoff games, including conference champions East Wake, Cardinal Gibbons, Green Hope, East Chapel Hill, South Johnston and Sanderson.
Below are the 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A East brackets. In cases where teams have the same seed from different conferences, we've placed the host team on top.
