Here's your chance to tell us how you did at Super Doubles. Go ahead and brag!

How many coupons did you use? How much did you spend? How much did you save?

Do you have any funny stories from the aisles or at the cash register? Was your store busy or eerily empty?

Were the shelves well-stocked or did it seem as if you were shopping in the hours before a looming snow storm?

This is the place to leave your comments.

Wednesday deals (Feb. 15-21)

The big news at the grocery stores this week is Harris Teeter's Super Doubles promotion, which starts today and comes just as Lowes Foods finishes up its inaugural Super Doubles promo.

For a complete list of all the best deals during Harris Teeter's Super Doubles event, click here. I've got a comprehensive list tailored to Triangle shoppers, matching our store prices with the coupons we received here.

Beyond Super Doubles, it's a light week for deals, though there are a few bargains worth an extra trip to the store.

Among the deals that caught my eye:

  • Tribe hummus for $1.75 at Lowes Foods
  • Grapes for 99 cents per pound at Food Lion
  • Campbell's Chunky soup for 75 cents per can at Food Lion
  • Pizza dough balls for 99 cents at Harris Teeter
  • Pepsi 2 liters for 80 cents at Harris Teeter

Read on for all the highlights. For easy comparison, I've also included Sunday's Kroger deals at the bottom of the post.

As always, feel free to add any great deals you spot while you're out and about shopping. That way, we can all save more.

UPDATED: Harris Teeter Super Doubles good deals list

Updated 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Harris Teeter's Super Doubles coupon promotion starts Wednesday and runs through Feb. 21 with lots of potential for super good deals. In many cases, we're talking freebies and items for under $1.

I've compiled a comprehensive list specifically tailored to Triangle shoppers by walking the aisles of my local Harris Teeter in Apex to verify prices and sale dates.

If the deal is based on a regular-priced item, I've noted that on the list. If the deal is part of a sale that is continuing, I've indicated that information as well.

All of the coupons listed are among those we received here in the Triangle, along with readily available printables, magazine and tearpad coupons.

Harris Teeter Super Doubles confirmed for this week

Harris Teeter is confirming that it will indeed host a Super Double coupon promotion, starting Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Harris Teeter's corporate Twitter account tweeted the news about an hour ago:

Need a little pick me up? SUPER DOUBLE COUPONS are BACK! From Feb. 15-21, we will double your coupons up to $1.98.

If you participated in Lowes Foods Super Doubles promo, which continues through Tuesday, you may be wondering if you'll have any coupons left for Round 2 of super couponing.

While it's inevitable to have some overlap, I'm confident the Harris Teeter promo will yield some new freebies and deals. So stay tuned.

I'll be scoping out my Harris Teeter for all the continuing sales so please check back later for the start of a good deals list.

Wednesday deals (Feb. 8-14)

The big grocery news this week, of course, is the surprise announcement by Lowes Foods that it would offer its first ever Super Doubles promotion. Click here to read and print my good deals list. There are lots of freebies and other good deals under $1.

Keep reading this post for the very best deals at Harris Teeter, Food Lion and Aldi, along with other Lowes Foods bargains that don't require Super Double coupons.

This week, I especially like the $2.97 per gallon milk at Harris Teeter and the $10 per dozen roses and $1.39 per pound strawberries, both at Aldi.

I've also attached Sunday's Kroger deals to the bottom of the list to make comparison shopping easier for you.

Happy bargain hunting, and please post if you find a good deal while you're out and about so we can all save more.

Wednesday Deals (Jan. 25-31)

Looks like it's a good week to store hop, cherry picking the best deals at each of the grocery stores. At Aldi, the produce deals are outstanding, including pineapple and cantaloupe for $1 each and a 5-pound bag of grapefruit only $1.19. Aldi also has chicken breasts on sale for $1.69 per pound. At Harris Teeter, you can score Orville Redenbacher popcorn for just 66 cents a box, combining a paper and a digital coupon. Harris Teeter has also got a nice Meal Deal special that would work perfectly for Super Bowl along with good prices on Kraft shredded cheese, Campbell's Select Harvest soup, Muellers Whole Grain pasta and Planters peanut butter. At Lowes Foods, PictSweet veggies are just 63 cents a bag and Red Baron pizzas are just $2.49 after coupons. And finally, at Food Lion, the sale on store-brand products is still going strong, allowing you to earn rewards for money off your next grocery order.

Read on for the best deals that jumped out at me at Aldi, Food Lion, Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods. (I've also added the Kroger deals from Sunday at the bottom of the post to make comparisons easier.) Please use the comments section below to post the deals you find so we can all save.

Get up to $200 in FREE groceries at Harris Teeter with new pharmacy deal

UPDATE: Many folks are reporting that Harris Teeter is restricting this program to customers who have not previously filled prescriptions at a HT pharmacy. This requirement is not spelled out on the punch card, which I gave to members of my coupon class. However, Harris Teeter does specify the requirement in this press release on the program.

Through April 3, you can qualify for a $20 electronic coupon each time you fill a new or transferred prescription at a Harris Teeter pharmacy. It's possible to earn up to 10 $20 credits for a total of $200 in free groceries.

The $20 coupon is loaded on to your cusotmer loyalty card and is deducted from your next purchase. Just a heads up: You can't stop the credit from coming off your order so be prepared to spend at least $20 once you fill a presciption.

Wednesday Deals (Jan. 18-24)

At Lowes Foods, there's a great deal on Hormel deli meats and it's the last week to take advantage of the 3-week sale using store coupons on snacks and cereals.
At Food Lion, don't miss out on the second week of its store-brand promotion that rewards you with a coupon for cash off your next grocery order. (Food Lion will actually pay you to buy some of its products!)
And finally, Aldi has some terrific sales on produce and split chicken breasts, which are just 89 cents per pound.
