Canceled: On an ax-swinging roll, ABC kills "Hank"

After airing only six episodes, ABC has announced it is canceling Kelsey Grammer's new sitcom, "Hank." Some TV critics are saying ABC is about five episodes too late on this one.

The sitcom has been a critical and ratings failure for ABC, the weak link on their otherwise strong comedy night ("The Middle," "Modern Family," and "Cougar Town" have already been renewed by the network).

The show is in the middle of filming its 10th episode and will shut down once that episode is completed.

ABC announced earlier this week that they are also pulling the plug on their Wednesday night drama "Eastwick."

What to Watch on Wednesday: Chenoweth hits Glee

Hank (8pm, ABC) - A new pilot starring Kelsey Grammer as a CEO who loses his job and has to face downsizing with his wife and kids. This hasn't gotten very good reviews, but maybe ole "Frazier" deserves the benefit of the doubt. I'm in for one show.

The Middle (8:30pm, ABC) - Patricia Heaton, Grammer's former partner from the Fox sitcom "Back to You," plays a middle-aged Indiana mom with a blue-collar husband (Neil Flynn from "Scrubs") and three kids.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - The premiere of this sitcom last week was laugh out loud funny. Tonight, Mitchell and Cameron sign Lily up for a Mommy & Me class.

Glee (9pm, Fox) - Our favorite songstress on our favorite show! Kristin Chenoweth stars as Will's former classmate, called in to help spice up the glee club.
