Gwyneth Paltrow hosted a pretty strong "Saturday Night Live" last night.
Miracle of miracles, even the opening skit, which is almost always a snoozer, delivered a redeeming James Carville appearance. Bill Hader was great as the deranged liberal pundit making a visit to a new "civil" Fox News, antagonizing Greta Van Susteren, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity.
But if you only watch two skits from the show, they should be these two: Andy Samberg and Pee-wee Herman beating up Anderson Cooper, and Gwyneth Paltrow's negotiations with the FCC to get Cee Lo Green's famous "F- You" song on the air.

Honorable mention goes to a clip in which SNL makes fun of its own network's ridiculous new show, "The Cape," with a promo of new shows for those who like shows about people who get magical powers from articles of clothing. Also, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air Lost Episodes skit gave Jay Pharoah a chance to indict Will Smith's early acting skills. The bar mitzvah skit was also decent, but no video was posted online.
