CARY — Three schools — Green Hope, Broughton and Chapel Hill — dominated both the boys and girls N.C. High School Athletic Association 4-A cross country Mid East Regionals on Saturday.
UPDATE: With complete boys and girls results.
Who's No. 1? Broughton or Green Hope?
Broughton, the two-time defending 4-A boys soccer champion, and Green Hope played to a 0-0 title Friday in The Brittany in Wilson on Friday.
Broughton, which has won the NCHSAA 4-A boys soccer championship the past two years, faces Green Hope, one of its top challengers, Friday at 4 p.m. in The Brittany in Wilson.
Throughout the preseason, Broughton coach Izzy Hernandez said he was going to field a nice team, but that Green Hope was loaded.
The Caps defeated Green Hope 2-1 in overtime in the state semifinals last year.
"I don't know if I have ever seen a great team return as many players as Green Hope is," Hernandez said.
Green Hope coach Andrew Chadwick said his club should be the best that he has coached. The Falcons face an extremely tough schedule. They play Leesville Road today, Broughton Friday and 4-A runnerup Greensboro Grimsley on Tuesday.
The Brittany Willis Memorial Scholarship Soccer Showcase has attracted 58 boys soccer teams from all over the state.

Green Hope, the top-ranked boys soccer team in the area, opened its season impressively on Tuesday with a 4-0 victory over Wakefield.
Stephen Clowes scored three goals and Jared Girard added another.
Green Hope is at home against Leesville Road on Thursday. Leesville tied Panther Creek 2-2 on Monday night.
Some area high school soccer teams already have played and many begin their season tonight. So here's my preseason boys soccer rankings.
