I wasn't a die-hard fan of "Will and Grace" (although I liked it the times I watched) so I don't know what pulled me in to "Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys (Sundance Channel, 10 tonight), but I felt compelled to watch three of the half-hour episodes back-to-back.
I think it's because that as much as the show is about four women who have gay male best friends, it's also about life in New York, and loneliness. And while it does have a bit of gay men as a straight women's best accessory feel, the relationships felt genuine, and some situations, intriguing. I wanted to know more.
The girls who like boys are Crystal McCrary, an author, producer and former NBA wife, whose best friend Nathan WIlliams is her business partner. She's raising two kids alone; he's turning 34 and wants to be a father by 35. She's not sure he's ready, mostly because he likes to hang out all night and is fairly irresponsible. He just wants to be the father he didn't have.
