The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated with all of Sunday's new coupons.

The home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer contains three inserts -- one Smart Source, one Red Plum and a General Mills insert. That's 110 coupons with a face value of about $105.

Of course, we're fortunate to be able to double coupons every single day of the week at Kroger, Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods.

It's a handy tool, listing every coupon we receive in the Triangle in the Sunday N&O.
Reading from left to right, you'll see a description of the coupon; the value of the coupon and how many products the coupon requires you to purchase; the expiration date; the date the coupon was released; and the name of the insert in which the coupon can be found.

If there are multiple inserts of the same type in a single week, I'll number them in the database, ie. RP1, RP2. Click the "Insert Key" in blue at the top of the database to help you identify each insert in those cases.

Home-delivered Final Editions of The News & Observer contain four regular inserts -- two Smart Source, a General Mills and a Red Plum, plus special Target and WalMart inserts.

It's another great weekend for coupons.

Look for four regular coupon inserts -- two Smart Source, one General Mills and one Red Plum -- in this Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer.

And be sure to check for two additional sets of coupons: one from Target and one from WalMart.

Altogether, there will be 242 coupons with a face value of about $324. But, of course, with Harris Teeter offering Super Double coupons right now, those coupons have the potential for additional savings.

As always, I'll have the coupon database updated and the best Sunday deals posted early tomorrow morning, about the same time your paper hits the driveway.

And, I'll have a separate list of new Super Doubles deals using the new coupons.

The coupon database has been updated with all 253 of the new coupons from the five inserts in today's News & Observer.

There are a lot of great coupons today, including some rare coupons on Pepsi products and Frito-Lay snacks in the Moments to Save insert.

But a big heads up: All the coupons in that insert are short-lived. They all expire on Oct. 22. Also take note of the .55.1 coupon on a single Pepsi Max 2 liter. It will not double. It clearly states "Do Not Double" and the coding begins with a 9.

Pretty much everybody loves a freebie. Including me.

Take a look at what I've found in my mailbox in the last week or two:

• a full-size box of General Mills Golden Grahams Treats.
• a full-size box of General Mills Lucky Charms Treats.
• 11 coupons for $1.10/2 General Mills cereal treats.
• two coupons for full-size bottles of Pantene shampoo or conditioner, up to a maximum value of $4.99. Through some sort of glitch, I ended up getting two of these coupons on the same day.
• a two-pack of Huggies Snug & Dry diapers and a $1.50/1 coupon.
• another two-pack diaper sample from Costco.
• a Kashi TLC granola bar and a coupon for $1.50 off any Kashi product.

I don't sign up for all the freebie offers I find. But if I think we'll use it - or know someone who will - I'll take the time to sign up.
