What to Watch on Thursday: "FlashForward" finale, Matt Damon salute

FlashForward (8pm, ABC) - It was meant to be a season finale, but it's really a series finale becuase it's never coming back. In the episode, the world waits to see if their blackout visions come true. Mark also gets information about the next blackout date, but, since there's no next season...

So You Think You Can Dance (8pm, Fox) - The seventh season kicks off with a two-hour show of auditions.

100 Questions (8:30pm, NBC) - A new sitcom about a woman who answers 100 questions on a dating service questionaire, and the first question prompts her to recall a bad dating experience. Every episode centers around one of the questions. There is no way this will be around long enough to get through all 100 questions.

Hollywood Salutes Matt Damon (9pm, ABC) - Really? Matt Damon? We like him and everything but isn't he a little on the young side to be getting a salute show? Jimmy Kimmel hosts.

Mall Cops: Mall of America (10pm, TLC) - The premiere of a new reality series about mall cops who patrol the Mall of America in Minneapolis. The show opens on Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year.

Canceled: ABC ends "Scrubs," "FlashForward," and others

ABC is tossing some shows onto the trash heap today, too. "Scrubs" is toast and so is the new high-concept serial drama, "FlashForward."

"Scrubs" was canceled by NBC in 2008 and picked up by ABC in January 2009 for another chance.  But without its star, Zach Braff, it just couldn't pull numbers. "FlashForward" struggled in ratings after a strong debut. That show's series finale will air May 27. Since the writers weren't warned about the cancellation, don't expect much closure to the big "blackout" mystery.

Allysa Milano's weak new sitcom, "Romantically Challenged," will also not be returning. And as we have suspected for awhile now, the network has had it with the only true gem in this bunch, "Better Off Ted." Now that was a funny show. But in its Tuesday night timeslot it eventually choked to death on the fumes of a rotting, unfunny dinosaur (that would be "Scrubs"). "Ted" would have thrived on Wednesday nights...

On a positive side, ABC has renewed the rebooted Alien drama, "V."

What to Watch on Thursday: "Marriage Ref" keeps drawing big stars

Bones (8pm, Fox) - Brennan and Booth recall their first case together six years ago, when Booth recruited Brennan's team of scientists to back up his theory about a judge.

Marriage Ref (10pm, NBC) - It's a testament to Jerry Seinfeld's star power that this mediocre (at best) show has gotten so many great stars to sit on the marriage panel. I know that's the only reason I keep watching: Every week there's another crop of interesting celebrities, and I keep hoping another show will be as funny as the one with Larry David, Ricky Gervais, and Madonna. Tonight, the recently renewed series features Tracy Morgan, Kathy Griffin, and Nathan Lane. (NBC comedies are all reruns again tonight).

Project Runway (10pm, Lifetime) - The remaining designers must create clothing inspired by the circus in a competition which determines who will advance to Fashion Week.

What to Watch on Thursday: FlashForward returns to ABC

NCAA Basketball (WRAL) - It's going on pretty much all day, folks. Grab your bracket and tune in.

FlashForward (8pm, ABC) - The show is back after a fairly long hiatus. Hope you caught the refresher Monday night... Tonight, Mark (Joseph Fiennes) must meet with a therapist before being cleared for work, but that doesn't stop him from investigating Lloyd's abduction. (And yes,  Fiennes looks very close to groping Shohreh Aghdashloo in the photo at right).

Parks & Recreation (8:30pm, NBC) - Jerry gets mugged by some kids in the park, so Leslie sets up a meeting with the head park ranger (Andy Samberg from "SNL") to discuss park safety.

Archer (10pm, FX) - In the season 1 finale, questions about the identity of Archer's father lead him into a trap, and a confrontation with Malory.

Real Housewives of New York (10pm, Bravo) - Kelly tries to explain her decision to pose in Playboy to her young daughters. Awkward.

What to Watch on Thursday: Jim and Pam finally tie the knot

FlashForward (8pm, ABC) - Mark and Janis meet an imprisoned Nazi who claims to have knowledge about the blackout.

The Office (9pm, NBC) - It's the TV wedding of the decade, and you better believe Jim and Pam won't be getting married via post-it notes. The cutest couple in primetime gets hitched tonight in a special one-hour episode of "The Office," and the entire gang travels to Niagra Falls to witness the blessed event. Which begs the question, who will ruin the big day? Will it be Michael and his pathological need to insinuate himself into any big moment (remember Phyllis's wedding to Bob Vance of Vance Refrigeration?). Or will it be Andy and Dwight's tireless attempts to score with the single ladies in attendance? Nope. Word is, Jim takes care of screwing things up all on his own. You must tune in to find out how.

Real Housewives of Atlanta (10pm, Bravo) - NeNe plans a high-heel marathon for her foundation and Kandi travels to LA to discuss a potential record deal. It'll be interesting to see if Bravo acknowledges the sudden death of Kandi's fiance AJ this past weekend

What to Watch on Thursday: FlashForward debuts and Grey's returns

FlashForward (8pm, ABC) - This is ABC's big new drama premiere, and it stars Joseph Fiennes (left, from "Shakespeare in Love") as an FBI agent trying to get to the bottom of a weird phenomenon in which a worldwide blackout allowed people to see into their futures. Everyone sees one precise point in time: 10pm on April 29, 2010. Apart from that being my birthday, what is significant about that date? And what do the visions mean? ABC is counting on this one.

Grey's Anatomy (9pm, ABC)
- "FlashForward" is followed by the two-hour premiere of "Grey's." Unless you've been living under a rock, you already know the answer to the cliffhangers about what happened to George and Izzie, but I won't spoil it for you rock-dwellers. Let's just say the doctors are searching tonight for ways to deal with their grief.

CSI (9pm, CBS) - It looks like this could be an entirely different show this season. Not only did show star William Petersen leave "CSI" before last season, the show also just lost Jorja Fox and Gary Dourdan. But Laurence Fishburne is still on board, and he's searching for a new serial killer, Dr. Jekyll.

The Mentalist (10pm, CBS) - Fresh off an Emmy nomination, Simon Baker resumes his role as faux-psychic and police consultant Patrick Jane. This season, a new agent (Terry Kinney from "Oz") shows up to snatch away the Red John case, which is Jane's passion. The battle between Jane and Agent Bosco will play out over the course of the season.

These shows aren't season premieres, but don't forget NBC's night of comedy (which ends at 10pm, wink wink) and new episodes of "Bones" and "Fringe" on Fox, as well as "Survivor" at 8pm on CBS and "Vampire Diaries" at 8 on the CW. Also, new episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" on FX at 10, and over on Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta," Kim's mysterious sugar daddy Big Papa returns!
