Free T-shirts, 5-cent hotdogs at new Five Below

A new Five Below store is opening in Garner on Friday with freebies and 5-cent hotdogs.

The new store, 155 Shenstone Boulevard in the White Oak Crossings shopping center, opens at 10 a.m.

The first 300 customers to make a purchase will get a free Five Below t-shirt. Customers will also be able to register for prizes, including a $100 Five Below shopping spree.

Stay for lunch and get a 5-cent hotdog.

Grand opening hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Not sure what Five Below is? Ask any preteen or teen-age girl. Or think dollar store on steroids. Everything in the store costs $5 or less with an emphasis on trendy items, including such things as crackle nail polish, hair feathers, cellphone gear, candy and T-shirts.
