So You Think You Can Dance: results show

Guest blogger Lenni G. has her say:

Have to say that the results show really lost some of its importance when the death of Michael Jackson was announced earlier in the afternoon. Wow, what a week we've had - first Ed McMahon and then Farrah Fawcett and Michael on the same day. We were somewhat prepared to let Ed and Farrah go,
but certainly not Michael who was gearing up for a series of concerts.
May they all rest in peace, especially Michael who seemed to be
fighting some major demons these past several years.

On to the show, which opened with a great routine by two of my fav choreographers, Napoleon and Tabatha.

What to watch on Friday: Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson specials

Networks are scrambling so we're not sure exactly what will be on tonight, but expect more special Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett coverage for sure. Here's what we know about so far, but we'll try to update throughout the day if we learn of more.

The Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration (8pm, TV One) - TV One originally planned to air "The Michael Jackson Story" but will air this special instead. It repeats at 11pm.  TV One will have special Michael Jackson programming throughout the weekend.

The Life and Death of Michael Jackson (9pm, ABC) - ABC News special coverage of Jackson's death and a look back at his career and controversial life.

Farrah's Story (9pm, NBC) - NBC is replaying the gut-wrenching documentary originally aired last month, which chronicles Farrah's fight against cancer.  It's worth watching, or at least taping if you're watching Jackson coverage.

UPDATE: MTV will continue playing Michael Jackson videos (that's right, MTV is playing actual music videos!) and Jackson footage all day today until 6pm. Starting at 6pm, MTV will air other special Michael Jackson programming. Their sister channel, MTV2 is also playing Michael Jackson videos and specials all day today and tomorrow.

BET is also currently playing Jackson videos and will air a "BET Awards" special at 5pm featuring a surprise performance by Michael, and will rebroadcast their tribute from Thursday tonight from 6pm to 7:30.

Ryan O'Neal interview with Barbara Walters to air tonight

According to the ABC News website, a Barbara Walters interview with Ryan O'Neal originally scheduled to air Friday night will air tonight instead.

The "20/20" show, in which O'Neal discusses his relationship with Farrah Fawcett, will air at 10pm on ABC. O'Neal told Walters in the interview that he had proposed to Fawcett and that they would "absolutely" marry. They did not get married before she died.

UPDATE 8:58pm: ABC's website still says the show will broadcast at 10pm, but don't be surprised if it's pre-empted for Michael Jackson coverage and bumped back to the original slot on Friday at 10pm.

UPDATE 9:13pm: The King of Pop rules the airwaves tonight. The networks have Jackson [and Farrah] tributes planned all night.

"Charlie's Angel" Farrah Fawcett dies

Farrah Fawcett, who will forever be Jill Munroe from "Charlie's Angels" in our hearts, has died.

Fawcett had battled cancer since 2006, and her fight to find a cure for her disease was recounted in a documentary special called "Farrah's Story," which aired on NBC in May.
