What to Watch on Sunday: A new Masterpiece Mystery and MTV's VMA

Breaking Bad (9pm, AMC) - Jesse decides to make a change, and Walt and Skyler face an unexpected demand.

Family Dance Off (8pm, ABC) - Five families who love to dance compete in Hollywood before a studio audience, who will determine the winner of a $10,000 prize.

Masterpiece Mystery: Silk (9pm, UNC-TV) - The first of a four-part British legal drama opens with barrister Martha Costello (Maxine Peake, left), who hopes to advance to the rank of Queen's Counsel, assigned to two cases for the following day: one involves an accused burglar and the other a supposed drug mule. At the same time, she takes on a new trainee barrister (Tom Hughes).

MTV Video Music Awards (9pm, MTV and VH1) - The 30th annual bash -- aired live -- with scheduled performers including Lady Gaga, The best part could be the multiple showdowns between Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines."

Dexter (9pm, Showtime) - Not that you can watch this if you have Time Warner Cable, but tonight Dexter investigates a murder, while Dr. Vogel gets the surprise of her life when someone from her past returns.

Oprah's Next Chapter: Tina Turner (9pm, OWN) - Tina Turner talks about love, retirement and her life in Switzerland.

Devious Maids (10pm, Lifetime) - Valentina worries Remi will hate her when he returns from rehab, and Rosie wants Spence to defend her honor after Adrian propositions her.

Ray Donovan (10pm, Showtime) - Avi drives Sully from Boston to Los Angeles to meet with Ray. Meanwhile, Ray tries to get Tommy out of a sticky situation that threatens his career, and Mickey works with the FBI to get incriminating evidence against Sean Walker.
