Field of Vision (8pm, NBC) - This family-friendly film produced by Wal-Mart and Proctor & Gamble tackles the problem of bullying. A star high school quarterback (Tony Oller) faces a moral dilemma when he discovers his teammates have been bullying an enigmatic transfer student. Informing his coach of the problem could result in his teammates' ouster from the team, thereby jeopardizing their championship hopes. But wait, there's magic! A magical old camera casts light on the transfer student's mysterious past. Also, Faith Ford stars as the quarterback's mom. Incidentally, the National Association of Social Workers has praised the film, saying it accurately depicts bullying and the plight of foster children.
CHAOS (8pm, CBS) - The agents try to capture a terrorist who is hiding in Paris, but their task is made more difficult when the French government officially shuts down their mission.
A Crush on You (9pm, Hallmark) - A man (Sean Patrick Flannery) sends secret admirer emails to his crush (Christine Scott Bennett), but an email address mix-up causes the notes to go to the woman's lovelorn coworker (Brigid Brannagh, 'Army Wives') intead. And though the man and his crush start dating, he can't help but feel a connection with the woman he'd been emailing.
Ice Road Terror (9pm, Syfy) - An icy Alaskan road becomes more treacherous for two truckers after a mining operation awakens a dormant prehistoric creature.
McEnroe/Borg: Fire & Ice (10pm, HBO) - A look at the tennis rivalry between the fiery John McEnroe and the stoic Bjorn Borg in the 1970s and 80s, including their classic Wimbledon final in 1980. Among those commenting are Patrick McEnroe, Bud Collins, Mike Lupica, and coach Percy Rosberg. Also, a look at their post-tennis careers.
When I saw the promotional materials for "Sorority Wars" (Lifetime, 9 tonight), with all its pinkness, and its stars, white-bread blondes Courtney Thorne-Smith and Faith Ford, I figured it was a comedy, maybe a little 'Mean Girls' but broader, more sitcom-like.
