Sunday deals are up (May 20-26)

You can tell by the ads that summer is nearly here. There are deals on everything from allergy medicines to sunscreen and swim diapers.
Worth noting up front:
*CVS is bringing back its summer gas card promotion: Spend $30 in select products and get a free $10 gift card for gasoline. CVS also has great deals on Ocean Spray juice (how does FREE sound?), Pantene, Irish Spring, Pepsi, Suave and Purex.
*Rite Aid has a good deal on Xtra laundry detergent and Formula 409.
*Walgreens has free tampons and a great deal on mouthwash and the best deal on swim diapers among all the stores. It also has the best deal I've seen on milk this week at just $2.99 per gallon.
*And at Kroger, there are good deals on produce, Greek yogurt, Breyers ice cream, Kroger cheese slices and All laundry detergent. Kroger has also brought back its enhanced fuel rewards, rewarding you with cheaper gasoline when you buy gift cards.

Sunday deals are up (May 13-19)

It's a holiday weekend for moms so even though you might want to take a break from bargain shopping today, be sure to carve out some time later in the week to pick up some pretty terrific deals.

It's always worth shopping when the stores are willing to pay YOU to carry merchandise out of their stores. And that's what you can do at Walgreens this week with a little coupon magic involving a new Starbucks product. (Keep reading for the details.)

There are also excellent deals on Kraft barbecue sauce, Pantene and sunscreen at CVS. At Rite Aid, you'll find stellar buys on Pepsi 12-packs, Kellogg's cereals and M&M's and an even better deal on Pantene -- at just 75 cents a bottle. And at Walgreens, besides being paid to buy Starbucks, you'll find a good deal on Purex laundry detergent.

Over at Kroger, there are some excellent produce deals as well as a nice deal on Sargento and Kraft cheeses.

Once you hit the aisles, please post any great deals you spot so we can all save more.

Sunday deals are up (Feb. 26-March 3)

Candy and gum deals are plentiful this week as the drugstores start gearing up for Easter sales. Match them up with Hershey's, Nestle, Wonka and Mars coupons and score even better deals.
The drugstores are also offering plenty of freebies to choose from -- Walgreens alone offers eight free items. Also at Walgreens, you'll find a super deal on milk at just $2.79 per gallon, which beats the current deal at Lowes Foods. And don't forget to check out the deals at Kroger, which has excellent buys on frozen entrees, produce and split chicken breasts.

Keep reading for all the very best deals of the week at CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Kerr Drug and Kroger. And please list any deals you find in the comments section so we can all save even more.
(And remember, if you haven't done your Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods or Food Lion shopping for the week yet, you can find those deals here. Prices are good through Tuesday, Feb. 28)

CVS tweaks coupon policy

In just the last few days, CVS has made changes to its official coupon policy.

But not to worry, coupon lovers.

All of the changes actually make it easier to shop with coupons at CVS to snag all those free and nearly free items.

Sunday deals are up! (Jan. 22-28)

As we get closer to Super Bowl time, the deals on snack foods are ramping up. This week, the drugstores have some nice deals on Doritos, Pepsi and Coke. After several months of high-priced soda, you can finally buy either brand for $2.50 a 12-pack (or less with a coupon!)
Also at the drugstores this week, you can also score some FREE or incredibly cheap items, including Blistex, Triaminic medicines, protein bars, UP2U gum and Finesse shampoo.
At Kroger, there's a new promotion giving you $5 off when you purchase 10 specially marked items. Among the deals there: Hunt's canned tomatoes for 19 cents, Easy Mac for 49 cents and Steamfresh veggies for 69 cents.

Deal alert: CVS will pay you to buy greeting cards

This week's generous greeting card deal at CVS just got even sweeter with the issue of two new printable coupons.

Sunday deals are up! (Jan. 15-21)

You can pick up a half-dozen freebies this week at the drug stores plus some nice deals at Kroger as part of its 10 for $10 sale. (Remember, you don't have to buy 10 items to get the items for $1 each.)
My favorite freebies this week are the greeting cards at CVS, the UP2U gum at Rite Aid and the South Beach snack bars and ThermaCare heat wraps at Walgreens. Read on for all the best deals at CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens and Kroger. And if you spot a deal, please post so we can all save.

Sunday deals are up! (Jan. 8-14)

With another nice infusion of new coupons this Sunday, there are some great deals, including at least 10 freebies at the drugstores.
Kroger is offering a second week of P&G deals and the lowest price on Kashi products I could find. Plus, don't forget to use your $4 no-strings-attached digital credit that I wrote about here.
And at Target, if you're a fan of Weight Watchers meals, there's a super deal on them for just 79 cents each.
Finally, if you need milk, it's $2.79 per gallon at Walgreens again this week. The only cheaper option is the Smart Balance milk you can score for FREE through Tuesday during Super Doubles at Harris Teeter with today's new coupon.
(Click here for my separate post on the new FREEBIES and good deals you can score during the final days of Harris Teeter Super Doubles with today's new coupons.)

Sunday deals are up! (Jan. 1-7)

With an infusion of new coupons in Sunday's newspaper, the deals are starting to crank back up this week. I especially like the FREE Nivea lip balm and Skinny Cow candy at CVS, the FREE Triaminic at Walgreens and the 8-cent Softsoap at Kroger. Best of all, however, is the milk for $2.79 a gallon at Walgreens, which doesn't require any coupon at all.

UPDATED: Sunday deals: The Holiday Edition

With Christmas just a week away and Hanukkah even closer, the sales circulars are loaded with ads for toys, fragrances, candy and those as-seen-on-TV gadgets and gizmos.

Look a little closer, however, and you'll find plenty of real deals -- freebies and cheapies to fill stockings and help make your holidays more festive. I've highlighted many of them for you in this week's list of all the best deals at CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, Kroger and Kerr Drug.
