"Sharktopus" revels in its cheesy goodness

You've got to give it up to the makers of "Sharktopus" (Syfy, 9 tonight); it's produced by um, legendary horror guy Roger Corman; just by the title they're letting you know that you should not be taking this film seriously in any way.

So if you're up for a couple of hours of goofy viewing, jump on it.

S-11 (that's the sharktopus) is the creation of a mad scientist (Eric Roberts) and his brainy daughter (he keeps calling her pumpkin, much to her chagrin, so he switches to baby girl) to be a secret weapon for the Navy. In the first scene, they're showing off their creation to a military man. He's impressed. When they show off a bit too much, S-11's controls break down, it goes rouge and becomes a killing machine. The 'pus not only has shark teeth but its tentacles are sharpened. Scantily clad hotties are its primary victims.
