What's in that perfume you're spraying on?

There's no agency that monitors the ingredients of cosmetics, and there's no law that says cosmetic companies have to disclose all their ingredients.

Kinda scary when you think about it.

With that in mind, you might find "Not So Sexy," a report on perfumes from the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and the Environmental Working Group interesting.

Should you buy that organic onion or not?

Not necessarily, as it turns out.

One of the biggest raps against buying organic is that it's too expensive.

Well, this cheat sheet may help. Designed by artist Heidi Kenney, it breaks down 27 fruits and vegetables into two categories: low pesticide content and always buy organic.

So you can shop a little smarter. Kenney based her list on information from the Environmental Working Group, which  has a much longer list that you can get as an iPhone app.
