Entourage (5pm, HBO2) - In anticipation of tomorrow night's season 6 premiere, HBO2 has a marathon of season 5 that lasts till 11pm.
Harper's Island (9pm, CBS) - He/She who shall not be named (hate to spoil it for those who might be behind) continues his/her murderous rampage on the island, while the survivors try to kill him/her first. There's a second episode at 10pm, which is the ultimate finale. If you don't mind some spoilers, there's a good interview at TV Guide with show star, Matt Barr.
Eli Stone (10pm, ABC) - Eli and Keith help a woman in need of a heart transplant who clashes with the donor's family because of her religious views. This is also a series finale.
There's special 4th of July holiday programming still going on, including fun TV show marathons and local and national fireworks celebrations. Other stuff...
Wilco: Ashes of American Flags (6pm, Sundance) - If you're lucky enough to have the Sundance Channel, you can see the 2008 film by Chicago rock band Wilco, featuring interviews and concert footage. Totally jealous.
Dave Chapelle: Killin' Them Softly (9pm, Comedy Central) - Chapelle's classic June 2000 show from the Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C., includes bits on "Sesame Street," terrorism, gangs, and voting.
Eli Stone (10pm, ABC) - Eli helps a roomservice waiter who was laid off from a failed company that paid its CEO a multimillion-dollar golden parachute deal.
Groomer Has It (9pm, Animal Planet) - The three remaining contestants must create grooming instructional videos.
Harper's Island (9pm, CBS) - An explosion destroys the marina as the surviving wedding party members try to leave the island via boat.
Eli Stone (10pm, ABC) - ABC finished up the unfairly-cancelled "Pushing Daisies" last week, so tonight they taunt you with another show you probably wish they'd kept around a little longer. Behold the last few eps of "Eli Stone."
Man vs. Cartoon (10pm, truTV) - A pair of rocket-powered roller skates are tested by a stuntman. For real.
Fans of ABC dramas will get to see the last few episodes this summer.
TV Week is reporting that the network is bring back Burnoff Theater aka filling the schedule with the shows you loved but didn't make them enough money.
As we reported the other day, “Pushing Daisies” will air Saturdays at 10 from May 30 until June 13; “Eli Stone” taking over that slot on June 20.
I can't type the words coming out of my mouth right now because I'd get fired and the newspaper would get sued. But rest assured this member of Happiness is NOT happy tonight. (Maybe this is what that U of Md study earlier this week was talking about -- the sadness and depression TV watchers experience because their favorite shows always get cancelled??).
Less than 24 hours after airing one of the best episodes of one of the best shows on television, ABC is reportedly "passing" on Pushing Daisies. Deep breath. EW's Ausiello Files has the scoop from multiple unnamed network sources. I'm not all that surprised, because ratings haven't been great. But this show is so good, I was hoping ABC would be a little more patient.
Also, Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. I'm so mad at TV right now.
