IBM plans to invest in developing countries

IBM plans to increase its investments and acquisitions in developing countries, the technology company's new mergers chief told Bloomberg News.

"Growth markets are very high on the list of priorities for IBM and very high on the list of priorities for me," Eli Mendoza told Bloomberg in an interview. "We're going to continue to grow very aggressively."

Mendoza, 43, was named head of corporate development at IBM on June 15. He previously oversaw development in Japan.
