More line changes on way against Blues

ST. LOUIS — The Carolina Hurricanes play the second game of a back-to-back road set against the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center tonight at 8 p.m.

Carolina coach Paul Maurice, who tinkered with the lines in Friday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Dallas Stars, said he's not done tinkering, Saturday.

"I'm still working with [Associate head coach Ron Francis] on it," Maurice said in the afternoon, which the Hurricanes had off. "It's not going to be anything earth-shattering or anything we haven't done before."

Carolina goalie Cam Ward, who saved his team on several occasions Friday, will go again tonight, Maurice said.

The game will be remembered as Erik Cole's return to the RBC Center.  The former Canes star was playing his first game in Raleigh since being traded to Edmonton.

The Oilers will remember that Ethan Moreau's goal with 1:28 was the difference in a 3-1 road victory.  Moreau also added an empty-net goal.

Ray Whitney gave the Canes a 1-0 lead after the first period on a well-executed breakaway but Shawn Horcoff tied it 1-1 for the Oilers in the second with a power-play goal.

Oilers get taste of home on the road

It's a busy two days for Erik Cole while he's back in Raleigh, but he found time to create a bit of home for the Oilers in the midst of his homecoming.

In the throes of their longest road trip of the season, Cole invited the entire Oilers team to his house for dinner Friday night.
