Time Warner picks up State-Wake football game

N.C. State's football game with Wake Forest on Saturday will be broadcast by Time Warner Cable on digital channel No. 520.

The game kicks off at 2 p.m. and will also be broadcast online at ESPN3.com.

Update on Time Warner's ESPN online access

ESPN Online simulcast is now up and running. You can sign on at ESPNnetworks.com right now with your Time Warner Cable My Services log-on.

I just tested it and it works. I clicked "Watch Live" and it asked me to select my provider. I clicked on Time Warner Cable and then clicked "Watch Live" again and "Sports Center" loaded automatically. I didn't have to log-on but I was already logged on at the TWC My Services site, so maybe it just knew.

More info here.

ESPN3.com is coming shortly... I'll update when it's live.

Update (9:29am): Right now the ESPN3 site is saying to select Time Warner Cable from the drop-down list on their site but they don't have Time Warner Cable listed.

Update (9:38am): It's there! Select Time Warner Cable from the list and it takes you to TWC's My Services page. Sign in there and it automatically flips right back to ESPN3.com.

Okay, sports freaks. Go watch something.

Time Warner Cable sets date for ESPN3.com access

Just in time for Monday night's Giants vs. Cowboys showdown, Time Warner Cable customers will have free access to an ESPN online simulcast and to an exclusive new sports outlet, ESPN3.com.

Free online ESPN games coming soon to Time Warner Cable customers

Time Warner Cable's customers will soon be able to use the Internet to watch sports events, including some that not available on cable television.

Online access to live ESPN broadcasts will be available for free to Time Warner customers as soon as Oct. 25, just in time for ESPN's online streaming broadcast of a Monday night football contest between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.

Time Warner will offer two online services: ESPN online, showing the same programs that are broadcast on cable TV, and ESPN3, which has exclusive programming available only  online.

The streaming video game can be watched by Time Warner customers who subscribe to ESPN cable programs, which is virtually all Time Warner customers.
