The Wake County school board voted Tuesday night to purchase one site for an elementary school in Cary while rejecting a site for a second school.
The board agreed to pay $2.77 million, or $125,000 per acre, for 22.163 acres on the western side of Pleasant Grove Church Road north of its intersection with I-540 in Cary. Located near the border with Durham, this school is located right on the edge of the E-38 ring to serve students in the growing Brier Creek area of northwest Raleigh.
