The fifth annual Kick It for Cancer boys soccer showcase is scheduled for Saturday at CASL's WRAL soccer complex in Raleigh. The event is expected to involve 22 teams.

DURHAM – Durham Hillside started the game by fumbling away the opening kickoff and sputtering on its first offensive possession.
That's about all that went wrong for the Hornets on Friday night.
The No.1 team in the N&O rankings stayed undefeated, cruising to an easy 43-0 road victory over Durham Riverside at Linny Wrenn Stadium.
Southern Durham 47, Durham Riverside 7

They’ve gotten a lot better.
Southern defeated PAC-6 conference foe Durham Riverside 47-7 for its third straight win after losing its first six games in a brutal non-conference schedule. The victory keeps the Spartans in second place behind Hillside and Northern Durham (if they both won tonight.)
Northern Durham 41, Durham Riverside 28
Submitted by kkeister on 10/08/2010 - 23:16DURHAM - After going winless in 2009, Northern Durham was just looking to get the monkey of its back in '10. The Knights did that in the second week of the season by defeating Rocky Mount.
After losing three straight games, Northern has reversed its fortunes with a three-game winning streak and a first-place tie atop the PAC-6 with Durham Hillside after defeating Durham Riverside 41-28 and spoiling the Pirates homecoming.
Durham Riverside 40, East Chapel Hill 23

The game had 17 penalties, most in the personal foul category, but Durham Riverside coach Todd Spell will discipline his team next week. For now, he’s going to enjoy the Pirates’ first win of the season after a come-from-behind 40-23 PAC-6 conference win over East Chapel Hill Friday night.
Chapel Hill 31, Durham Riverside 28 (OT)

After giving up a three-touchdown lead in the second half, the Tigers blocked short field goal attempts as regulation expired and in overtime and Andrew Dejong connected on a 21-yard field goal in the extra session for a 31-28 victory.
