What to Watch on Wednesday: Dogs, 'Damages' and ESPY Awards

Dogs in the City (8pm, CBS) - Justin partners with Edie Falco to renovate an animal shelter. He also works with an aggressive dog that was once attacked, and an anxious dog that loses its cool during playtime.

ESPY Awards (9pm, ESPN) - Comedian Rob Riggle hosts the event from Los Angeles. Longtime Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt receives the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

Damages (9pm, DirecTV 239) - Season five has some great guest stars -- Ryan Phillippe, Jenna Elfman -- in addition to series regulars Glenn Close and Rose Byrne. But remember, it's only on DirecTV. The new season has a Wikileaks theme: the founder of a controversial website devoted to government and corporate transparency gets sued after his most recent information leak does not go as planned. This leads to a legal showdown between Patty and Ellen.

Beverly Hills Nannies (9pm, ABC Family) - The premiere of a new reality series centered on the caregivers who work for wealthy families in Beverly Hills.

Dallas (9pm, TNT) - A frustrated John Ross moves into Southfork. Meanwhile, Bobby is displeased to learn that Ann sought help from her ex.

Haunted Collector (9pm, Syfy) - A woman's Kentucky home and silo in Ohio are visited in the Season 2 premiere.

Picked Off (10pm, History) - The premiere of a new series that features teams competing to collect valuable items with only $100 to spend. A flea market and a warehouse in Louisiana are visited in the opener.

Hit & Miss (10pm, DirecTV 239) - Chloe Sevigny ("Big Love") plays a transgendered assassin in this new British drama series available only on DirecTV.

What to Watch on Wednesday: USA shows return, Scotty on CMT Awards

CMT Music Awards (8pm, CMT) - Garner's Scotty McCreery is scheduled to perform at tonight's awards show, along with his fellow "Idol" pals Lauren Alaina and Casey James. Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Band and Little Big Town will also perform. Catch Red Carpet arrivals at 7.

Dogs in the City (8pm, CBS) - Justin works with a pampered bulldog, a retiring K-9 police dog, and a pooch that constantly barks.

Royal Pains (9pm, USA) - In the Season 4 premiere, Hank and Divya treat food-festival patrons, including a competitive eater and Jill's brother, an amateur competitor. Meanwhile, Evan prepares to run his own business.

Necessary Roughness (10pm, USA) - Season 2 begins with Dani and the Hawks kicking off pre-season preparations and quickly running into trouble. Also, Dani and Matt's secret relationship heats up.

Hot in Cleveland (10pm, TV Land) - In the third season finale, Joy and Victoria want to know the secret behind Melanie's hairdo, which creates tension between the ladies and rival stylists at Elka's favorite salon. Regis Philbin guest stars as Elka's longtime hairdresser, whom Elka had presumed to be gay. David Spade also makes an appearance on tonight's finale.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Justin Silver helps 'Dogs in the City'

Dogs in the City (8pm, CBS) - A new series in which canine expert Justin Silver (right) helps dog owners with their doggie problems. Tonight, Justin tries to help an obese dog lose weight, and works with a celebrity skateboarding bulldog who is driving a wedge between its owners.

Hatfields & McCoys (9pm, History Channel) - In the conclusion, the Hatfields are forced deeper into the mountains and the fighting between the two families peaks in a New Year's Day battle.

America's Next Top Model: British Invasion (9pm, CW) - The 18th season concludes with the final models shooting a Covergirl commercial and one of them suffering a panic attack. Ultimately, a winner is selected.

Restaurant Impossible (10pm, Food) - Memphis barbecue joint, Pollard's Bar-B-Que, experiences growing pains after switching from a take-out operation to a full-scale eat-in restaurant.

Around the World in 80 Plates (10pm, Bravo) - The chefs descend on Marrakech, and the perilous trip means high drama -- including accusations of kitchen sabotage.

Hot in Cleveland (10pm, TV Land) - Victoria's plans to bring her canceled soap, "Edge of Tomorrow," back to life in the digital age hinges on the series creator's approval and participation from the actor who played her character's husband on the show.
