What to Watch on Saturday: From Stephen Hawking to 'Jersey Shore Shark Attack'

Stephen Hawking's Grand Design (8pm Discovery) - The first  episode in a series examining existential matters focuses on the nature of reality and the meaning of life. An episode at 9 looks at string theory and the rules and laws of the universe. And at 10, the creation of the universe is discussed. 

Who Killed Allison Parks (8pm, Lifetime) - A new Lifetime movie in which an ER nurse experiences the memories of a murder victim after being electrocuted, and she races to catch the killer with the help of a detective.

Hannah's Law (8pm, Hallmark Movie Channel) - A bounty hunter seeks revenge for the  murder of her family and prepares for a showdown with the powerful gang leader responsible for the slayings.

Jersey Shore Shark Attack (9pm, Syfy) - "Bro! Shark!!" In this Syfy movie, sharks menace the Jersey Shore on the July 4th weekend, and it's up to local Jersey Shorians to stop them. This pinnacle of cinema achievement stars Tony Sirico ("The Sopranos"), Paul Sorvino ("Goodfellas"), Jack Scalia ("Dallas"), Joey Fatone (‘N Sync), and a small role by Vinny Guadagnino of "Jersey Shore."

Dog the Bounty Hunter (10pm, A&E) - A behind-the-scenes look at Dog and his team includes cast interview and never-before-seen footage.

Real Life: The Musical (10pm, OWN) - In this new series, tongue-tied folks sing things they can't say to those they love ("I love you," "Marry me," etc) with the help of vocal coaches and choreographers. Tonight, a couple who eloped want to say "we're sorry" to their mothers, who are upset that they missed the wedding.

What to Watch on Saturday: 'Iron Chef' battles with military cooks

Imaginary Friend (8pm, Lifetime) - A woman who grew up with an abusive father fights to free herself from an imaginary childhood friend whose reappearance threatens to end her marriage.

Tanked (9pm, Animal Planet) - Wayde and Brett recall their toughest jobs from Season 1.

Iron Chef America (10pm, Food) - Iron Chefs Cat Cora, Michael Symon and Masaharu Morimoto team up with experienced Army, Navy and Marine cooks for a special grilling battle at the historic Marine Corps Base Hawaii on the island of Oahu.

Dog the Bounty Hunter (10pm, A&E) - Dog uses social media to track the whereabouts of two courthouse no-shows.

Iylana, Fix My Life (10pm, OWN) - The premiere of a new advice show in which author and inspirational speaker Iylana Vanzant discusses what men want and women need.

What to Watch on Wednesday: The final episode of "Undercovers"

Undercovers (8pm, NBC) - This is it. The final episode. Steven and Samantha have to abandon their romantic getaway in Greece to help diffuse a hostage situation at a hotel in Tel Aviv. The pair go undercover (for the last time) to start the mission but soon realize the situation is more complicated than they initially thought.

Extreme Couponing (8pm, TLC) - This is not a documentary about the N&O's Sue Stock. Instead, it's a profile of four (other) shopping addicts who go to extreme measures to find great deals.

Dog the Bounty Hunter (8pm, A&E) - Following Dog and his family on a cross-country trip to promote Dog's book, "Where Mercy is Shown, Mercy is Given," and meet fans -- many of whom ask for advice or for Dog to bring home troubled family members.

Letters from Iwo Jima (8pm, IFC) - Clint Eastwood's Oscar-nominated companion piece to his "Flags of Our Fathers" film examines World War II from the Japanese perspective. Ken Wantanabe plays Imperial general Tadamichi Kuribayashi, who led the Japanese troops.

True Blood (8pm, HBO) - The Season 3 marathon continues...

Heads up for Thursday: A "Burn Notice" marathon begins tomorrow morning on USA Network at 6am and runs through 4am Friday. Set the DVR!
