Canceled: ABC kills 'Brothers & Sisters' and 'Detroit 187'

I'll admit I'm sad about a couple of these. 'Brothers & Sisters' was on the bubble but there was talk of bringing it back for a short 13-episode season, so I held out hope.

That is not to be. Sorry, Walker Family fans.

Even more disturbing, Michael Imperioli's 'Detroit 187' has been axed. Oh, the pain! Also gone: 'Better With You,' Matthew Perry's 'Mr. Sunshine,' 'Off the Map,' 'V,' and 'No Ordinary Family.'

ABC did renew 'Shark Tank' and 'Happy Endings,' and picked up a bunch of new shows, including one with Tim Allen.

Update: ABC also renews 'Body of Proof' with Dana Delaney.

What to Watch on Sunday: 'Big Love' and 'Detroit 1-8-7' finales

NCAA Tournament (CBS, TNT, TBS, truTV) - Games continue. Look for action to begin around noon with UNC vs. Washington and Duke vs. Michigan immediately following. Both of those games air on CBS. Other matches continue throughout the afternoon and evening.

The Rat Pack: Live and Swingin' (7:30pm, UNC-TV) - A June 1965 performance by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin at the Kiel Opera House in St. Louis. Johnny Carson emcees.

Celebrity Apprentice (9pm, NBC) - The players use two RVs to organize a recreation experience in New York City. One project manager falls victim to a power grab and the other team questions their leader's mental capacity (that could be anyone).

Shark Tank (9pm, ABC) - Pitches brought before the sharks tonight: a children's dance company helmed by ruthless sisters, a seafood chef from Tennessee, an Oregon winemaker, and a marketer of men's accessories.

Big Love (9pm, HBO) - In the series finale, Bill faces the threat of prison as he scrambles to plan for his family's future. Meanwhile, Margene considers leaving to volunteer abroad, Barb makes an impractical purchase to celebrate her new "freedom," and Don delivers bad news about Home Plus. There has to be something more because Amanda Seyfried, who plays Sarah Henrickson, says tonight's episode is "mind-blowing." That sounds more like "tying up loose ends." We'll see.

Detroit 1-8-7  (10pm, ABC) - This bubble show, which normally airs on Tuesdays at 10pm, has the season finale on a Sunday night. That won't confuse their small but loyal cadre of fans. In the episode, which could be the show's last, Fitch (Michael Imperioli) is shaken when his New York nemesis makes his presence known in Detroit. The other detectives investigate the brutal murder of a family, a mystery which leads Fitch to make a crushing revelation. Fitch asks Washington to watch his son Bobby (Imperioli's adorable son Vadim Imperioli) while he goes after the bad guys. I really hope ABC renews this one.

What to Watch on Tuesday: 'V' finale, Kathy Griffin on 'Glee'

Glee (8pm, Fox) - The glee kids face stiff competition from the Warblers and Aural Intensity (coached by Sue Sylvester) at the Regionals, so to impress judges Tammy Jean Albertson (Kathy Griffin, left) and Sister Mary Constance (Loretta Devine), they decide to perform original material. 'Glee' spoilers indicate Griffin will play a "Sarah Palin-inspired character," whatever that means.

V (9pm, ABC) - In the Season 2 finale, Erica and Diana try to get Lisa to usurp Anna before she decimates humanity, but the attempted coup yields devastating results.

Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? (9pm, WeTV) - Joan considers removing Lynne from her updated in the Season 1 finale. Meanwhile, Melissa vists her doctor to investigate strange stomach pains, and Jason makes an announcement.

Detroit 1-8-7 (10pm, ABC) - While the slaying of a young graffiti artist is investigated, Fitch's ex-wife brings his 12-year-old son (Michael Imperioli's son Vadim Imperioli) -- and some shocking news -- to Detroit.

The Game (10pm, BET) - Malik plans to end his affair with Parker, and Tasha's lie about her relationship with Dante is exposed.

Lights Out (10pm, FX) - Lights' setback wins him little sympathy from either Death Row Reynolds or Barry Word. Meanwhile, Theresa makes a career decision as her graduation from medical school approaches.

What to Watch on Tuesday: 'Southland' finale, Paltrow returns to 'Glee'

Glee (8pm, Fox) - Gwyneth Paltrow returns as substitute teacher Holly Holiday, this time filling in as the sex-ed teacher. She joins forces with Will to teach the glee kids the facts of life. Meanwhile, Emma heads the Celibacy Club, leading her and Dr. Carol (John Stamos) to address personal issues. Holly (Paltrow) performs Prince's "Kiss," Joan Jett's "Do You Want to Touch Me (Oh Yeah)," and Stevie Nicks' "Landslide."

Raising Hope (9pm, Fox) - Jimmy's cousin Mike returns from a six-month spiritual journey with a new wife (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and a trio of brother-husbands. Meanwhile, Burt tries to help his brother (J.K. Simmons) fix his troubled father-son relationship with Mike.

Southland (10pm, TNT) - In the third season finale, Ben faces his final days as a rookie and contends with John's increasing dependence on painkillers. And hopefully they give Regina King something awesome to do, too. Note to TNT: PLEASE renew this show!!!!!

Detroit 1-8-7 (10pm, ABC) - Unless ABC can conjure up another Charlie Sheen special, this show might actually reappear from their two-week forced vacation. Tonight, the slaying of a college coed leads leads to multiple suspects, including a rival of Stone's from his undercover days.

The Game (10pm, BET) - Tasha keeps an eye on Brittany at Jason's request. Also, Melanie's relationship with her parents changes as a result of her marriage.

Lights Out (10pm, FX) - The training regimen Ed Romeo (Eamonn Walker) imposes on Lights splits the Leary family.

What to Watch on Tuesday: A night of creative DVRing

Pioneers of Television (8pm, UNC-TV) - The final installment of the season focuses on local children's television shows of yesteryear. Featured: "Time for Beany," which counted Albert Einstein among its fans, "Romper Room," "Wallace and Ladmo," and "Puppet Hotel." Also, a look at Jim Henson's early days in Washington, D.C., Fred Rogers' first show in Pittsburgh, and local clown shows.

Glee (8pm, Fox) - The Valentines episode has the glee kids setting up a kissing booth.

Traffic Light (9:30pm, Fox) - A new sitcom about three buddies from college, each with different relationship scenarios. Here's our review.

The Good Wife (10pm, CBS) - A mole is detected in the firm when Alicia takes on a class-action lawsuit and goes up against shrewd lawyer Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox), who once again uses a physical disability to sway the jury. Meanwhile, Derrick brings in a super PAC as a client.

Parenthood (10pm, NBC) - Haddie has a run-in with Alex while out with Amber and Max, and Drew has breakfast with his deadbeat father, played by John Corbett.

Detroit 1-8-7 (10pm, ABC) - The detectives investigate the death of a boxer's fiance who, it turns out, was the former girlfriend of his upcoming opponent. Boxing legend and Detroit native Thomas "Hitman" Hearns guest stars as himself.

Southland (10pm, TNT) - Lydia gets caught in the spotlight while investigating a celebrity murder and Sammy goes back out on patrol for the first time since Nate's departure.

Lights Out (10pm, FX) - Lights decides he has to go back into the ring, and somehow wins Theresa's approval. He gets the backing of Hal Brennan and lines up an opponent with "glass hands."

Note: All of these 10pm shows are excellent. Remember that "Lights Out" and "Southland" both repeat tonight at 11pm and midnight respectively. There's also "White Collar" at 10pm on USA, and that repeats again at 1am. "Good Wife" and "Parenthood" are usually available On Demand, and "Detroit 1-8-7" is available at abc.com. Use your resources wisely!

What to Watch on Tuesday: 'Pioneers of Television' calls the cops

Pioneers of Television (8pm, UNC-TV) - If you consider yourself a fan of television, there's really no excuse for not watching this great series. The third installment of the season is about a genre near and dear to my heart -- crime dramas. Groundbreaking shows like "Dragnet," "The Untouchables," "I Spy," "Police Woman," "Columbo," and "The Rockford Files" are examined. Look for interview clips featuring Mike Connors ("Mannix"), Bill Cosby and Robert Culp ("I Spy"), Angie Dickinson ("Police Woman") and James Garner ("Rockford Files").

Frontline: Post Mortem (9pm, UNC-TV) - Lowell Bergman reports on the declining number of autopsies being performed in the U.S. and the shortage of competent forensic pathologists. Here's our review.

Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? (9pm, WeTV) - Joan appears on a game show while Melissa considers a business offer. Also, Joan picks out a dowdy uniform for the hot, half-naked nanny Dominca, and decides to redecorate Melissa's living room.

Southland (10pm, TNT) - John connects with an abandoned teen as he prepares to testify at his father's parole hearing, and Lydia and Josie handle a tricky rape case. But honestly, what I can't wait to see tonight is how everyone reacts to the tragic events from last week's episode. I won't give away details because certain people here at Warm TV are behind (for shame!). I wish I could force everyone to watch this show.

What to Watch on Tuesday: Aliens, Paula Abdul, and 'Southland' return

Live to Dance (8pm, CBS) - Do we really need another dance contest competition show? Maybe so, since this one's claim to fame is that Paula Abdul is one of the judges. Tonight: auditions in New York and Los Angles. Each week, six acts face off with two (one chosen by judges, one by viewers) advancing to face winners of subsequent rounds.

No Ordinary Life (8pm, ABC) - The Powells befriend a couple (Rick Schroder, Annie Wersching) after Jim saves the husband's life, but Jim starts to wonder if their family is hiding a secret of their own.
