The Designers Downtown Market marks its third anniversary with a sale of handcrafted goods Saturday July 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ornamentea and Purple Armchair near downtown Raleigh.
"With an emphasis on handcrafted goods, this is one market where you won't find anything made in China, or from a larger commercial business. Everything at the Designers Downtown Market is lovingly handcrafted by vendors from North Carolina and neighboring areas. No commercial businesses here - this is all about supporting the little guys and spotlighting all the amazing talent we have right here in North Carolina," writes executive director, Mary Michele Little.
Goods include jewelry, bath & body products, wearable art, baby gifts, clothing, hand-blown glass, beads, felted items, pottery, handcrafted sandals and more.
And to sustain you while you shop: Larry's Beans fair-trade coffee, Twins Kitchen, Loco-pops, NY Style Hot Dogs and treats from Scratch Artisanal Baking.
In case of rainheck the Designers Downtown Market site for confirmation of event (rain date is July 26) and to see a list of vendors.
