If all had gone according to plan, nowadays David Worters would still be living in Texas and running the Van Cliburn Foundation -- a job he left the N.C. Symphony to take back in 2010. But he left the Cliburn after just six months, returning to Raleigh and going into residential real estate. That seems like a puzzling career choice.
