What to Watch on Friday: Cooper trial on 'Dateline,' Animal Planet gets 'Tanked'

Dateline NBC (9pm, NBC) - This week, the NBC news magazine show takes a look at the murder of Nancy Cooper of Cary. Nancy's husband Brad was convicted of first-degree murder earlier this year. 'Dateline' is a two-hour show and the Cooper segment is supposed to begin just before 10 p.m. Read more about why 'Dateline' picked this case to spotlight.

Tanked (9pm, Animal Planet) - In the premiere of this new reality series about a family-owned Las Vegas company that specializes in building custom aquariums, owners Wayde and Brett try to avoid sleeping with the fishes when they design a 1000-gallon, mob-inspired tank. Meanwhile, Wayde's wife Heather is persuaded to walk among sharks, and the team works on a phone booth aquarium for a homesick New York family.

High Voltage 2010 (9pm, VH1 Classic) - Asia, Foreigner and UFO perform in London's Victoria Park. Taped in July of 2010.

Strike Back (10pm, Cinemax) - An Indian general decides to hold off on the assault on a New Delhi hotel that has been under siege when he learns that Stonebridge and Scott, who have ID'd Mahmood, are embedded in the place.

Haven (10pm, Syfy) - A single day keeps repeating for Audrey, who finds a deadly accident linked to the phenomenon.

Thumbs (10pm, MTV) - Competitive texters are profiled as they prepare for and compete in the 2010 National Texting Championship in New York City.

What to Watch on Friday: The penultimate 'Friday Night Lights'

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - A decision is made about East Dillon's football program, and Coach Taylor receives an offer he can't refuse. Also, Riggins rethinks his future plans when an old flame returns to town.

Dateline NBC (9pm, NBC) - Dennis Murphy reviews the Casey Anthony case, but listings also say that Keith Morrison investigates the mysterious death of a student in North Carolina.

Whale Wars (9pm, Animal Planet) - The Bob Barker hunts for two boat crews lost during a dangerous mission. Also, the Gojira finds the whalers' refueling vessel.

Torchwood: Miracle Day (10pm, Starz) - Top secret investigators try to discover why no one on Earth is dying. In this opening episode, a CIA agent joins the probe and tries to determine if there's a global conspiracy at work.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Guests include Ann Coulter, Amanda Foreman, and Christopher Hayes.

What to Watch on Friday: Season 2 of "Shark Tank" returns

Dateline NBC (8pm, NBC) - Meredith Vieira interviews David Goldman, the New Jersey father who regained custody of his 9-year-old son after a 5-year international custody battle. Includes footage of the father and son reunion.

Shark Tank (9pm, ABC) - The season 2 premiere features a biker with a three dimensional helmet, a chef with a recipe for salad dressing, a plan for a golf ball washer, and more. Watch meanie shark Kevin O'Leary (right) destroy all their dreams. 

Medium (9pm, CBS) - A suspected serial killer dies and his ghost contacts Allison to ask for help redeeming himself, and even assists with the case.

What Not to Wear (9pm, TLC) - In a new episode, Clinton and Stacy help a woman who lost 170 pounds after gastric bypass surgery, and now has no idea how to dress.
