What to Watch on Friday: Cooper trial on 'Dateline,' Animal Planet gets 'Tanked'

Dateline NBC (9pm, NBC) - This week, the NBC news magazine show takes a look at the murder of Nancy Cooper of Cary. Nancy's husband Brad was convicted of first-degree murder earlier this year. 'Dateline' is a two-hour show and the Cooper segment is supposed to begin just before 10 p.m. Read more about why 'Dateline' picked this case to spotlight.

Tanked (9pm, Animal Planet) - In the premiere of this new reality series about a family-owned Las Vegas company that specializes in building custom aquariums, owners Wayde and Brett try to avoid sleeping with the fishes when they design a 1000-gallon, mob-inspired tank. Meanwhile, Wayde's wife Heather is persuaded to walk among sharks, and the team works on a phone booth aquarium for a homesick New York family.

High Voltage 2010 (9pm, VH1 Classic) - Asia, Foreigner and UFO perform in London's Victoria Park. Taped in July of 2010.

Strike Back (10pm, Cinemax) - An Indian general decides to hold off on the assault on a New Delhi hotel that has been under siege when he learns that Stonebridge and Scott, who have ID'd Mahmood, are embedded in the place.

Haven (10pm, Syfy) - A single day keeps repeating for Audrey, who finds a deadly accident linked to the phenomenon.

Thumbs (10pm, MTV) - Competitive texters are profiled as they prepare for and compete in the 2010 National Texting Championship in New York City.

What to Watch on Friday: 'Dateline' examines Fort Bragg murder

Flashpoint (8pm, CBS) - A new recruit joins the team on Valentine's Day, which is notorious for hostage and suicide sitations.

Dateline (9pm, NBC) - In the second hour of this two-hour "Dateline," Keith Morrison explores the murder of Fort Bragg Army Special Operations officer David Shannon in Fayetteville in 2002.

Karaoke Battle USA (9pm, NBC) - The series premiere of a reality competition in which karaoke singers from across the nation compete to win a recording contract and a shot at the Karaoke World Championships. Tonight, contestants compete at the House of Blues in Las Vegas.

Whale Wars (9pm, Animal Planet) - In the Season 4 finale, Watson claims a major victory after 30 years of fighting, while he and the crew reaffirm their commitment to stopping the whaling fleet. At 10, Lisa Ling interviews Paul Watson and the other Sea Shepherds about the success of their 2010-11 campaign.

Strike Back (10pm, Cinemax) - A new series about an ex-Delta Force operative, Damien Scott, who teams up with a British antiterrorist unit to track down an international criminal. In the first episode, British sergeant Michael Stonebridge recruits help from Scott when an agent is kidnapped by a Pakistani terrorist. The two then uncover clues to a possible terrorist attack at a New  Delhi hotel and race to foil it.

Haven (10pm, Syfy) - A wedding at an isolated estate turns deadly for the guests when the site becomes sealed off and something attacks from within.

What to Watch on Sunday: A little post-Super Bowl "Glee"

Super Bowl (6pm, Fox) - Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Halftime entertainment by the Black Eyed Peas.

Dateline (9pm, NBC) - Tom Brokaw tells the story of adventurer Aron Ralston, whose ill-fated 2003 climbing excursion inspired the Oscar-nominated film "127 Hours."

Shameless (10pm, Showtime) - The family attempts to pull off a fake wedding when it is revealed that Veronica comes from a wealthy family. Also, Frank is given bad medical news and doesn't handle it well, and Steve goes cruising for a  new car.

Nancy Reagan: The Role of a Lifetime (10pm, UNC-TV) - Judy Woodruff interviews former first lady Nancy Reagan, considered by many historians to be among the most influential first ladies of the modern era. Discussed are her childhood, her entertainment career, her marriage to and lifelong romance with Ronald Reagan, and her role as his most trusted advisor. Reagan would have turned 100 today.

Brick City (10pm, Sundance) - In this episode, police director Garry McCarthy is dogged by episodes of police misconduct. Later, Newark mayor Cory Booker neglects to mention McCarthy in the annual State of the City address, raising questions about the top cop's future in the administration. Glee (10:30pm, Fox) - While Mr. Schuester and Coach Bieste work to make peace between the glee club and the football team, Sue Sylvester devises a risky strategy to win the cheerleading Nationals. Look for a performance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and a cameo from Katie Couric. The start time on this post-Super Bowl episode of "Glee" is likely to change, so set your recording devices accordingly.

What to Watch on Wednesday: "Dateline" investigates Prince William engagement

Human Target (8pm, Fox) - In the Season 2 premiere, Chance and Guererro hatch a plant to rescue the kidnapped Winston. Meanwhile, a philanthropist (Indira Varma) fears her husband's death may be followed by her own, and a young thief sees a mentor in Guererro.

Dateline: William & Kate - A Royal Love Story (8pm, NBC) - NBC ditches one of the few remaining episodes of "Undercovers" to slap together a special on the engagement of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Everyone is trying hard to make me care about this. I just don't. I'll be watching "Human Target."

Survivor: Nicaragua (8pm, CBS) - The ten remaining castaways return to the Libertad camp only to discover that it is in ashes because of a fire.

Better with You (8:30pm, ABC) - Maddie scores Mia and Casey a meeting with an A-list wedding planner, played by Reba McEntire.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - A party at a restaurant for Manny's birthday makes the guest of honor anxious about his age. Cameron uses a shopping trip to the mall as a chance to meet new people. Norman Lloyd (Dr. Auschlander from "St. Elsewhere") guest stars.

Law & Order: SVU (9pm, NBC) - Stabler speaks at a Take Back the Night rally at his daughter's college campus, and the rally inspires a woman to accuse a fellow student of rape. Stabler and Benson investigate the case and ADA Paxton (Christine Lahti) is assigned to prosecute it.

Terriers (10pm, FX) - In an episode that includes flashbacks, Hank gets another chance to solve the rape case that got him fired from the police department.

What to Watch on Friday: George Clooney on "Real Time"

Medium (8pm, CBS) - When Allison suffers a hand injury that requires a skin graft, her hand suddenly acts as though it has a mind of its own.

Dateline (9pm, NBC) - Ann Curry looks into the Alaska plane crash that killed former senator Ted Stevens and four others. Former Nasa administrator Sean O'Keefe, who survived the crash with his son, sheds light on the incident.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Maher's guests are Rob Reiner, Jake Tapper, Nicolle Wallace, George Clooney, and Wasilla, Alaska mayoral candidate Levi Johnston.

Blue Bloods (10pm, CBS) - Frank and Danny search for a homemade bomb that is to be set off in downtown Manhattan. The investigation leads to an argument about the pros and cons of profiling.

Teach: Tony Danza (10pm, A&E) - Tony gets homesick and plans a trip back to California to see his family, but he's torn when marching-band students plead with him to stay and help them prepare for their competition. Danza also meets with parents of a student who failed a test.

What to Watch on Friday: National Spelling Bee never disappoints

National Spelling Bee (8pm, ABC) - You can fill your quota of adorable, intelligent youngsters tonight when the championship rounds of the 83rd annual Spelling Bee begin in Washington, DC. Earlier rounds are broadcast on ESPN beginning at 10am. Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - After the death of his father, Matt gets support from the Taylors and from Landry. Also, Vince jeopardizes his football future (and pretty much his future in general) trying to provide for his mother.  

Dateline: Disaster in the Gulf (9pm, NBC) - Ann Curry anchors a special two-hour report on the massive oil spill along the Gulf coast.

Whale Wars (9pm, Animal Planet) - The third season opens with Captain Watson leading three ships out of different ports on a campaign against illegal whaling in the Antarctic. 

What to Watch on Sunday: Stars salute troops at National Memorial Day Concert

National Memorial Day Concert (8pm, UNC-TV) - Gary Sinise and Joe Montegna host this tribute to America's military personnel, with special focus this year on Korean War veterans and the sacrifices of military widows whose spouses served in Iraq and Afghanistan. From the US Capital's West Lawn, the show features Colin Powell, Lionel Richie, Brad Paisley, and the National Symphony Orchestra. It repeats at 9:30.

60 Minutes: Special Edition, The Deadliest Weapon (8pm, CBS) - This special edition of "60 Minutes" features rare video of a tribute to fallen soldiers at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. It's part of an update to the Byron Pitts story about a bomb disposal unit in Afghanistan.

Dateline (8pm, NBC) - Matt Lauer updates his exploration of Autism, interviewing Dr. Andrew Wakefield, who claims there is a link between autism and vaccines.

Taking Chance (9pm, HBO) - In honor of Memorial Day Weekend, HBO is bringing back their Emmy-winning movie with Kevin Bacon as a Marine officer who escorts the body of a young soldier back to his family. 

Iron Chef America (10pm, Food) - "Take Home Chef" (and former "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant) Curtis Stone goes against Bobby Flay.
