"Dancing with the Stars" results: After the controversy, a gracious farewell

Guest blogger Lenni G. sums up the results show:

It's the day after the big controversy on DWTS, otherwise known as " The Maks Show."  Maks did apologize, but in my mind, it was too little, too late.  It's becoming clearer and clearer that Maks is all about Maks and his star partners are nothing but window dressing.  Maybe this explains why he's never won on this show.

Moving on -

We had a ton of good entertainment beginning with J.R. and Karina's encore performance of their quick step from the night before.  Kristen Chenoweth was in the house again, singing a song from her new album - this woman is an entertainer!

"Dancing with the Stars": A hissy fit and two great dances

Guest blogger Lenni G. gets through all the fussing and fightling last night for her recap:

Heavenly opening for Broadway week with the cast of "Sister Act" singing and dancing in very sparkly habits.  Whoopi must be so proud.

Two dances this week - one individual and one group - all with music from Broadway shows.

Rob and Cheryl started the evening with a cha cha danced to "Walk Like a Man" from "Jersey Boys."  Len thought it was clean and precise BUT felt it had no rhythm and needed to be more "cheeky and oily." What?.  Bruno told Rob he has to be in charge and to take his mother's earlier advice to "kick butt."  Carrie Ann felt more charisma and thought he was getting closer to being a "man."  I thought he looked like he was having fun for the first time this season.  Judges' scores - 8 from Carrie Ann, 7's from Len and Bruno for a total of 22.

What to Watch on Monday: Broadway and Chenoweth on DWTS

How I Met Your Mother (8pm, CBS) - The gang realizes that their significant others remeind them of their parents. Also, Barney and Nora's romantic night is plagued by mishaps.

Dancing with the Stars (8pm, ABC) - For week six, the contestants dance to Broadway songs. Kristen Chenoweth performs.

Heart of Dixie (9pm, CW) - Zoe exposes a scandal when she discovers a secret involving a local minister and his wife.

Bored to Death (9pm, HBO) - Already nervous about his appearance on "The New Dick Cavett Show," Jonathan is thrown for a loop when another scheduled guest happens to be his nemesis, Louis Greene (John Hodgman). Meanwhile, Ray's attentiveness as a father is tested.

Enlightened (9:30pm, HBO) - Disgusted with her new surroundings at Abbaddonn, Amy gets excited about the prospect of making a difference with a job at a homeless shelter, but an unexpected bill from her hiatus at the treatment center makes her think again.

A Night at the Movies (9:30pm, TCM) - Stephen King talks about how movies such as "Freaks," "Cat People," Night of the Living Dead," and "Jaws" have affected his writing.

Castle (10pm, ABC) - Castle and Beckett investigate the homicide of a popular ghost hunter who was killed while probing paranormal activity at a famous mansion.

"Dancing with the Stars" results: Hope still floats

Guest blogger Lenni G. talks elimination night:

Lots of really good entertainment last night from Kelly Clarkson singing two of her hits, The Band Perry accompanied by Louis and Karina, and a real dancing discovery - Charm La'Donna from Compton, California, doing a krumping routine with Mark Ballas and Derek Hough.  This incredibly talented girl with a truly inspirational back story deserves to be seen again and again.

On to the results:

Bottom three ended up being Hope and Maks (I told you so!), David and Kym (I was surprised), and Carson and Anna (I was bummed).

'Dancing with the Stars': Bickering judges & a Loin-shattering sex machine

Guest blogger Lenni G recaps and make her elimination prediction:

It was all about the music from the 80's last night and we had the Bangles to get us in the mood.  Though this was supposedly the "decadent decade," just how depraved can a song like "Walk Like An Egyptian" be?  But I digress.

First out, Hope and Maks with a tango and Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer."  Len was all over Maks for his choreography which he felt was not suited to a tango, and chided Hope for her "willowy" body which he also felt was not suited to the tango.  Bruno thought Hope got the 80's super B---h down to a "T" as in strong, sexy and powerful.  Carrie Ann agreed it was strong, maybe too strong.  I was distracted by the discarded clothes in the middle of the dance floor and the fact that this couple, as Hope said, have a "love-love" relationship - they love to hate each other and it shows.  Judges' scores - 8's from all three for a total of 24.

DWTS: Hold on for ... tonight's elimination

We gave Lenni G the week off so that's why there was no "Dancing with the Stars" recap today. But I happened to catch the end of tonight's elimination show, so I can tell you who went home.

The three couples in jeopardy tonight were Rob Kardashian and Cheryl, Chynna Phillips and Tony, and Nancy Grace and Tristan. Then Nancy and Tristan were declared safe, leaving Chynna and Rob on the chopping block.

DWTS: A surprise elimination

"Dancing with the Stars" correspondent Lenni G on last night's surprising elimination:

Lots of good entertainment last night - Mary J. Blige did two of her new songs, "Real Love" and "25/8" (cuz 24/7 just ain't enuf.)  The DWTS dance troupe, plus Val and Peta Murgatroyd (yes, that Murgatroyd), paid homage to "Gone with the Wind," dancing to "Tara's Theme."  Hot new singer, Estelle, was joined by Chubby Checker and the Macy's Stars of Dance for a big ol' twisting session.  Even Judge Len moved his hips for a few seconds.  And we had an encore of Chynna and Tony's rumba from the night before.  Everything was going well and mostly normally until the results were revealed.

DWTS: Dances get personal, tears get shed

Dancing with the Stars correspondent Lenni G tells us about last night's emotional episode -- which was stolen by J.R. Martinez:

It was all personal last night with the stars "dancing from the heart" about the most memorable year in their life.

Rob's year was 2003 when his Dad, Robert Kardashian, Sr., passed away due to cancer. Rob and Cheryl did a fox trot to "Fly Me to the Moon" which Rob said was one of his Dad's favorites.  Len said he put the "dash" in Kardashian with his performance, Bruno loved the chemistry and story line, and Carrie Ann said he was, "debonair and charming."  I loved the end of this routine with both dancers silhouetted in front of a big ol' moon.  Judges' scores - 8's from all three for a total of 24.

'Dancing with the Stars': Ciao, bella

Our pal and guest blogger Lenni G shares her thoughts on last night's results show:

Loved the opening number choreographed by Val featuring the guys, lots of guys, and a cameo from Carrie Ann at the very end.  Ricki and Derek got the encore spot from the judges, redoing their jive from the night before.  Guess Mr. Scrunchy Face, aka Grumpy Len, really did want more dancing from this couple.

"The Script" did their latest hit accompanied by some fabulous dancing from Chelsea and Dmitry.  And we had Demi Lovato doing a very theatrical version of her hit, "Skyscraper."  Huge kudos to this girl for the way she has turned her life around.
