CEO facing challenges finds inspiration from Roosevelt

The CEO of a small, struggling Durham lighting company turned to Teddy Roosevelt to inspire investors that the future remains bright.

In a letter to shareholders, Cyberlux CEO Mark Schmidt describes the past year as the "most challenging, most difficult" he's experienced in his 20-year business career.

For inspiration, Schmidt included in his letter an excerpt from a 1910 speech that the 26th U.S. President gave in Paris.
