The May issue of Consumer Reports addresses the delicate issue of toilet paper, ranking 25 brands for softness, strength and price, along with how well the paper disintegrated in swirling water and how well sheets tore at the perforation.

As I posted earlier this week, Harris Teeter ranked among the Top 10 supermarkets nationwide in a just-released survey by Consumer Reports.

Harris Teeter gets 'top 10' status from Consumer Reports

The May issue of Consumer Reports delivers some great news for Harris Teeter.

The Matthews, N.C.-based grocery store chain ranked in the top 10 among 52 supermarkets ranked by more than 24,000 readers.

Other top ranked stores that do business in the Triangle: Trader Joe's and Costco.
