Wilson Community College is hosting an Advanced Transportation Workshop that will feature industry experts in such specialties as electric vehicles, battery technology and compressed natural gas.
The day-long event is designed to familiarize shop foremen and technicians, as well engineers and technical instructors, with the latest advances in hybrid battery maintenance and testing, natural gas conversions, and diesel emissions systems.
The June 14 workshop costs $30 to attend, including lunch, and is limited to 100 attendees. It's sponsored by the Triangle Clean Cities Coalition and the community college's Department of Advanced Transportation Technologies.
