Two Triangle jazz musicians have been up in Washington, D.C., recently to participate in a highly prestigious gig, Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead residency at the Kennedy Center. Keyboardist Eric Hirsh (whose sister Rachel is also a keyboardist of note, in the Chapel Hill band I Was Totally Destroying It) and drummer/NC Central graduate Clifton Wallace are among the 30 members of this year's class.
They'll both be onstage at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday to perform. You should be able to listen to it online here.
