What to Watch on Tuesday: A race to remember on 'The Mindy Project'

NCIS (8pm, CBS) - In retaliation for the murders of Eli David and Jackie Vance, the NCIS team hunts for Bodnar despite orders from Homeland Security to withdraw from the case.

New Girl (9pm, Fox) - The gang share stories about how they each lost their virginity in a series of flashbacks.

The Mindy Project (9:30pm, Fox) - Danny's ex-wife (Chloe Sevigny) returns to New York to discuss a heartfelt letter she received from him, though it was actually written by Morgan -- which an irate Danny (Chris Messina) considers a fireable offense. Meanwhile, the staff compete in a triathlon with the midwives, who hire Morgan (Ike Barinholtz, at left carrying Messina) on the rebound from his dismissal.

20/20: Murder. Mystery. Amanda Knox Speaks (10pm, ABC) - In a special edition of "20/20," an interview with the American exchange student convicted for the 2007 murder of her roommate in Italy. The conviction was overturned in 2011.

Grimm (10pm, NBC) - "Grimm" returns in a new timeslot with Nick beginning to suspect the existence of Wesen aliens after investigating mysterious cow mutations and reports of glowing creatures.

Frontline: Never Forget to Lie (10pm, UNC-TV) - Filmmaker Marian Marzynski attends a Warsaw meeting of fellow Holocaust survivors, where he and others recall the horrors they endure as children. Writer Lilian Boraks-Nemetz recalls how she and her mother were saved by her father, who pushed them behind a gate while they were being marched to the transit center that would have routed them to a death camp. Like Marzynski, Halina Kramarz was taken in by Christians, and like Marzynski, she had difficulties re-embracing her faith after the war.

Inside Amy Schumer (10:30pm, Comedy Central) - Comedian Amy Schumer hosts a new comedy show featuring a mix of sketches, stand-up and man-on-the-street interviews. Writers for the show include Tig Notaro and Kyle Dunnigan.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Dogs, 'Damages' and ESPY Awards

Dogs in the City (8pm, CBS) - Justin partners with Edie Falco to renovate an animal shelter. He also works with an aggressive dog that was once attacked, and an anxious dog that loses its cool during playtime.

ESPY Awards (9pm, ESPN) - Comedian Rob Riggle hosts the event from Los Angeles. Longtime Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt receives the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

Damages (9pm, DirecTV 239) - Season five has some great guest stars -- Ryan Phillippe, Jenna Elfman -- in addition to series regulars Glenn Close and Rose Byrne. But remember, it's only on DirecTV. The new season has a Wikileaks theme: the founder of a controversial website devoted to government and corporate transparency gets sued after his most recent information leak does not go as planned. This leads to a legal showdown between Patty and Ellen.

Beverly Hills Nannies (9pm, ABC Family) - The premiere of a new reality series centered on the caregivers who work for wealthy families in Beverly Hills.

Dallas (9pm, TNT) - A frustrated John Ross moves into Southfork. Meanwhile, Bobby is displeased to learn that Ann sought help from her ex.

Haunted Collector (9pm, Syfy) - A woman's Kentucky home and silo in Ohio are visited in the Season 2 premiere.

Picked Off (10pm, History) - The premiere of a new series that features teams competing to collect valuable items with only $100 to spend. A flea market and a warehouse in Louisiana are visited in the opener.

Hit & Miss (10pm, DirecTV 239) - Chloe Sevigny ("Big Love") plays a transgendered assassin in this new British drama series available only on DirecTV.

What to Watch on Wednesday: 'Revenge' returns with prison blues

Nova: Why Ships Sink (9pm, UNC-TV) - The safety of cruise ships is investigated, including the 2012 sinking of the Costa Concordia off the coast of Italy, the 2007 sinking of the Sea Diamond near the Greek island of Santorini, and the 1991 sinking of the Oceanos off the coast of South Africa.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - Claire helps Luke face the death of an older neighbor and Phil and Alex have a father-daughter bonding experience. Also, Cameron's father visits.

Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 (9:30pm, ABC) - June reluctantly agrees to let Chloe set her up on a date, and James Van Der Beek teaches an acting class. If you were on the fence after Episode 1, watch this one before you give up.

Revenge (10pm, ABC) - After a long break, "Revenge" is back! Tonight, Daniel's imprisonment sends Victoria to depths that no one thought possible, but an old beau unexpectedly reenters her life to provide a destructive but welcome distraction. Elsewhere, Jack's quest to locate Amanda takes on an added urgency when he becomes a murder suspect. That Hamptons jail is going to get crowded...

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (10pm, NBC) - A man witnesses his wife's rape and kidnapping while video chatting with her on his way home from a business trip. The abductors seek a ransom, and the case grows more complicated as the detectives probe deeper. Chloe Sevigny guest stars.

American Weed (10pm, NGC) - A cancer patient who uses medical marijuana to deal with health problems is profiled. Meanwhile, the only dispensary in Castle Rock, Colorado, is at risk of being shut down.

We have "Big Love" to give

HBO's polygomy series "Big Love' returns on Sunday at 9 p.m., with a lot of changes and one big name: Sissy Spacek.
