A BOGO deal at Chipotle for teachers

Coming up on Tuesday, May 7, it's Teacher Appreciation Day at Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Teachers with a school ID can score a Buy-One-Get-One-Free deal on any burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos.

The deal is good from 4 p.m. to close on Tuesday.

Free and cheap eats on Halloween

Take a look at these Halloween freebies and good deals. No tricks, all treats.

Krispy Kreme: Stop by a Krispy Kreme store in costume on Halloween and score a free doughnut. Participating locations will be handing out free Halloween or pumpkin spice doughnuts. Your choice.

Sonic: Corn dogs are 50 cents at Sonic all day on Halloween, according to the Sonic Facebook page.

Chipotle: From 4 p.m. to close, Chipotle is offering $2 "booritos," bowls, salads or an order of tacos to folks who come dressed in costume. Check the Chipotle Facebook page for details.

Chili's: Kids eat free at Chili's on Oct. 31. Click on the Kids Eat Free button on the Chili's Facebook page and the offer will be emailed to you. Print it out or show it on your smartphone to redeem.

Outback Steakhouse: Kids 10 and under eat free on Halloween at the Outback with the purchase of an adult entree. Also, treat coupons will be hidden in the beverage books on tables. Find it and you'll receive a coupon for a free steak on your next visit. For more details, check out the Outback Facebook page.

Caribou Coffee: Coffee is BOGO on Halloween day. Show the Facebook coupon on your smartphone.

Cici's Pizza: Order three medium one-topping pizzas to go for $10. Some specialty pizzas are included in the deal.

As always, I recommend calling ahead before heading out to take advantage of any of these deals.

Give Chipotle gift cards and you get free food

Chipotle restaurants are offering customers an incentive to buy gift cards for the holidays -- free food on your next visit.

For every $30 you spend in Chipotle gift cards, you'll get a free burrito, burrito bowl, salad or order of tacos.

But whatever you do, keep your receipt! That's your ticket to your free food. You must present the receipt of your gift card purchase to eat free.

The deal is good through Dec. 31. And you have until Jan. 31 to get your free burrito.
