For those who read today's piece in the N&O on Cookie Johnson and her line of CJ by Cookie Johnson denim, here's a picture of Cookie with what looks to be a bolt of fabric.

Her jeans got the Oprah nod as one of her favorites on Thursday's show. So as you can imagine, Cookie's press people were busier than they have been. I didn't get the photo until too late last week.

Cookie (who is married to former NBA star Magic Johnson) came up with the denim line earlier this year after being frustrated when she couldn't find jeans that fit her fuller figure. The denim line goes up to size 18, which as some of you may already know, is a rare thing in the jeans business.

Certain Things women's clothing boutique in North Hills is staying open later in the evening on Thursdays, which is great news for anyone who works late and can't get out to shop until after 6 p.m. The store will be open until 8 p.m.
