A California investor has acquired 14 health care-related properties around the country, including several in North Carolina, for $183.6 million.
Griffin-American Healthcare REIT II, an entity sponsored by American Healthcare Investors and Griffin Capital Corp., completed the acquisitions in December.
It acquired the Physician's Office Pavilion at WakeMed North in Raleigh, a 77,000-square-foot medical office building on the campus of WakeMed North.
The real estate investment trust also acquired five assisted living facilities in North Carolina from Raleigh-based Carillon Assisted Living. The facilities are in Fayetteville, Fuquay-Varina, Indian Trail, Knightdale and Lincolnton.
Griffin American Healthcare REIT II paid $31.96 million for the two facilities in Fuquay-Varina and Knightdale, according to Wake County property records.
