Massey, who is now an assistant principal at Wake Forest-Rolesville Middle School, was hired earlier this month by Tommy Moore, Enloe’s athletic director, and former Enloe principal Beth Cochran, who is now senior director of magnet programs at Wake County schools.

Wake Forest-Rolesville-Millbrook live game updates

Game over: Wake Forest-Rolesville 21, Millbrook 12

Here is why the Cougars are so good and so tough to beat: They wear opponents down in the fourth quarter. The final quarters is usually when sixth-ranked Wake Forest-Rolesville seperates itself from quality opponents. This was true tonight when after the Millbrook scored to pull within two, the Cougars pounded and pounded the ball down Millbrook’s defense. Running back Seth Hall scored a 20-yard touchdown. Once Millbrook couldn’t respond on their next drive, the game was essentially over.

Caps beat Eagles with diving effort

RALEIGH – A simple change led to Broughton’s volleyball team playing better Thursday night against Enloe. The Caps knew they could play well on their feet, but their confidence improved each time they dove for the ball.

The Caps defeated the Eagles with effort, and it showed in their 25-19, 25-23, 25-10 win in the first round of the Cap Eight conference tournament.

Diving was one of the reasons the Caps were able to win points after long rallies. With the Eagles sending the ball to the back of court instead of going for kills at the net, the Caps needed their back-row players to respond. And although Enloe’s strategy worked at times, the Caps (14-12, 7-6 Cap Eight 4-A) stay aggressive in not letting the ball drop in front of them.

Broughton-Leesville Road live game updates

Game over: Leesville Road 36, Broughton 28

The Pride did enough in the fourth quarter to control the ball, and the clock, by running the ball for first downs. The defense also intercepted Caps quarterback Will Cooper in the end zone to end any threat from Broughton.
