Henderson Old Schoolers win senior bowling title

The Old Schoolers of Henderson rolled their way to victory in scratch and handicapped divisions during the Capital Area USBC Association’s annual B.H. Barbour Senior Tournament held Dec. 3-5 at Pleasant Valley Lanes in Raleigh.

The bowling organization recently released official results.

In the team handicapped competition, the Old Schoolers rolled a 3,031 total to win the $800 top prize. Second place and $400 went to a Raleigh team called Whatever with a 2,905.

Pedro the Lion among bowling champions

Pedro the Lion had a great weekend during the Capital Area USBC Association Open and Women's Tournament held over the weekends of Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 6-7 at Buffaloe South and AMF Capital Lanes.

The Raleigh bowling organization recently released the official results of the event, the CAUSBCA's first tournament of the winter season.

12 bowlers honored for rolling 300 games

Bowlers in Capital Area USBC Association winter league produced a dozen
300 games plus seven 800 series and numerous runs of 11 strikes in a
row during February and March, according to results sanctioned and
released by the organization this past week.

Capital Area organization seeks bowlers to step into leadership roles

Recreational sports are more than fun and games.

A crucial part of any recreational sports organization is good
leadership, especially from those who step up to help lead their fellow
competitors and make leagues run smoothly.

The Capital Area USBC Association
is seeking bowlers to step up to serve on its board of directors or to
run for positions with the Capital Area USBC Youth Committee,
association representative Marion Boissiere said.

Bowlers roll their way to championships and perfect games

Triangle bowlers rolled perfect games in November, and others won tournaments in recent weeks.

The
Capital Area USBC Association, part of the U.S. Bowling Congress, has
released its official, audited results for two of its biggest fall
events - the B.H. Barbour Senior Men's Tournament and the CAUSBCA women's tournament - plus a list of 300 games.
