What to Watch on Wednesday: Out with the old, in with the new

Survivor: South Pacific (8pm, CBS) -  The 23rd season begins in Samoa with 18 castaways, including returning players "Coach" Wade and Ozzy Lusth.

Barbara Streisand: One Night Only at the Village Vanguard (8pm, UNC-TV) -  Streisand is at her best in this intimate 2009 show at the Village Vanguard jazz club in New York City.

H8R (8pm, CW) - A new reality series in which hated reality "celebrities" (like Snooki and Jake Pavelka) try to win over the people who hate them. This will only make people hate them more.

America's Got Talent (8pm, NBC) - The winning act is revealed in tonight's 2-hour season finale.

Buried Treasure (8pm, Fox) - In the finale of this short first season, the Keno brothers take a look at the possessions of a Georgia family hoping to raise money to avoid foreclosure.

America's Next Top Model (9pm, CW) - The 17th season is an "all-star" contest, bringing back losers from previous seasons for another shot at the prize. Nicki Minaj is a guest judge.

Necessary Roughness (10pm, USA) - In tonight's Season 1 finale, T.K. faces his rival (Terrell Owens) as the Hawks enter the playoffs. Also, Nico must decide where his loyalties lie.

Up All Night (10pm, NBC) - New mom (Christina Applegate) returns to work while her husband (Will Arnett) stays home with the baby. Reagan's boss, the host of a popular talk show, is played by Maya Rudolph. Next week, this will move into its regular 8 p.m. slot. Worth Watching?

Free Agents (10:30pm, NBC) - The premiere of a new workplace comedy about two lovelorn coworkers (Hank Azaria and Kathryn Hahn) and their ever-changing relationship. Starting next week, this airs at 8:30 p.m. Our take on the show.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Midseason finale for 'Royal Pains'

Buried Treasure (8pm, Fox) - The Keno brothers visit an art-filled New Jersey home, a Vermont horse farm that was devastated by fire, and Texas family whose home might (or might not) contain unexpected treasures.

Royal Pains (9pm, USA) - In the summer finale, an art collector (Wilmer Valderrama, right) loses consciousness while viewing a piece of art he has pursued for years. Also, Hank works out a treatment for Paige's mother, against the wishes of General Collins, and Divya tries to balance the demands of HankMed and Hamptons Heritage.

Primetime Nightline: My (Extra) Ordinary Life (10pm, ABC) - Cynthia McFadden explores the medical, surgical, social, and emotional challenges facing transgender youngsters.

Hot in Cleveland (10pm, TV Land) - In the Season 2 finale, Joy and Victoria wake up to a house in disarray, full of dozing frat boys and  roaming iguana, with no recollection of Elka's bachelorette party the night before. And the bride-to-be is nowhere to be found.

Rescue Me (10pm, FX) - A major fire breaks out on the day of Colleen and Black Shawn's wedding.

Necessary Roughness (10pm, USA) - Dani tackles a playoff curse that's plagued the Hawks for years, and also turns her attention to the team's self-destructive mascot. Also, Dani's relationship with J.D. progresses.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Keno brothers from 'Roadshow' get new gig

Buried Treasure (8pm, Fox) - The premiere of a new unscripted series in which "Antiques Roadshow" alums (and identical twin brothers) Leigh and Leslie Keno evaluate items they find in peoples' homes around the country and then help the owners sell them -- if they want to sell. The world-renowned antique experts and appraisers use cutting-edge technology to determine authenticity, condition and, ultimately, worth.

Madonna of the Mills (8pm, HBO2) - A documentary examining the puppy mill industry focuses on a New York City woman's tireless work to free hundreds of puppies from breeding facilities in Pennsylvania, and follows four rescued dogs after they are placed with caring owners. Directed by Andy Nibley.

Happy Endings (9:30pm, ABC) - What!? Where did this come from? An un-aired episode from last season? Just who is running ABC?!?  Okay, we won't look a gift horse in the mouth. In this "lost" episode, Jane and Alex have a difference of opinion regarding Jane's literacy group, and Dave scores a date with the coach of a women's lacrosse team, but finds out she has a peculiar quirk. Also, Penny gets a long-overdue assistant and tries to be the "cool boss," but with lukewarm results.

Top Chef: Just Desserts (10pm, Bravo) - Season 1 ended up being a huge disappointment, but that doesn't mean Bravo can't turn things around. Season 2 premieres tonight with 14 new pastry chefs battling it out in a challenge based on a popular fairy tale.

Confessions: Animal Hoarding (10pm, Animal Planet) - Season 3 of one of the most depressing shows on television returns tonight, with an episode called "Deadly Snakes in my Bedroom."

Rescue Me (10pm, FX) - Lou delivers Tommy's letters to Sheila and Janet behind Tommy's back. Also, "Francostein" runs a tight firehouse as Lou's interim replacement, then gets an opportunity to test his leadership skills on a call.

Hot in Cleveland (10pm, TV Land) - Elka and Fred (Buck Henry) plan a low-key wedding ceremony with a reverend (Cedric the Entertainer), but the bride-to-be turns bridezilla after the women urge her to go all out.

NOTE: HBO will make two "Paradise Lost" documentaries available On Demand starting today.
