Garner boys and Green Hope girls are ranked No. 2 in their 4-A polls. The Princeton boys fall from No. 1 to No. 3 in 1-A boys.

Green Hope and Millbrook continue to hold the top two spots in the N&O girls basketball rankings, but Graham River Mill and Raleigh Sanderson break into the top dozen.

The top six teams in the N&O girls high school basketball rankings remain unchanged, but the bottom half of the top dozen are shuffled.

Green Hope and Millbrook are firmly entrenched at the top.

The Piedmont Athletic 4-A Conference is so balanced that it is hard to get a read on which team is best.

Durham Riverside, which moves to No. 4 in the Raleigh News & Observer high school girls rankings this week, beat Northern Durham, which is ranked No. 5. Northern has a loss to No. 6 Durham Hillside. Northern beat Hillside last Friday.

Green Hope, Millbrook girls are Nos. 1 and 2, but much of the rest of the rankings are shaken.

Wake Forest-Rolesville and Panther Creek will play next week for a berth in the 4-AA championship game.
